Here we are at the end of June already – how on earth did that happen?! Thankfully summer has made an appearance at last and we are finally able to enjoy some good weather though how long it may last for is anybody’s guess. Here are a few of my #LittleLoves from the past month…

Having suffered from random fainting episodes, my husband decided to play it safe and to buy me a smart watch which records my blood pressure and pulse. Not only does this watch keep a close eye upon my health, but it also alerts me to messages and such-like which is super handy – so much so I don’t think I could ever go back to wearing a ‘normal’ watch now!
I’ve spent most days reading how many steps I’ve taken, how many calories I may have (or may not have) burnt, checking my blood pressure readings, monitoring my sleep patterns and getting a better idea of why it may be that I continue to hit the deck now and then.
Watched
Being a big fan of Adam Sandler, I was super excited to hear that he had a new film coming out and was counting down the days until his latest Netflix release – ‘Murder Mystery’ starring Jennifer Aniston, David Walliams and a number of other well-known actors and actresses. Paul and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this film, it was a hilarious whodunnit which I would fully recommend.
Heard
I’m not usually the spontaneous type when it comes to going out, I like to stick to the plan but once in a while it does you the World of good to throw the plans out of the window, to just go with the flow and to get yourself out.
Earlier this month my husband and I found ourselves with an unplanned, child-free evening so rather than staying in we decided to get our glad rags on and to go out somewhere different. We visited Ulverston’s ‘Another Fine Fest‘ where we listened to a range of live bands, DJs, singers, comedians and acts throughout the evening. It was an amazing night, the atmosphere was off the hook and I cannot wait to return next year.
Wore
Being a redhead, I really ought to have learned to apply suntan lotion before going out by now, yet once again I got caught short in the sun, the resulting burn giving me the motivation to find and to actually use my lotion. The factor fifty has now come out to play and I’ve been lathering myself in it to avoid the lobster look.
Made
My little lady loves to help out in the kitchen, there’s no use trying to make cakes or bakes at any speed as she will always insist that she be part of the action, although this slows the process down somewhat I’d much rather spend the time teaching our beautiful little girl how to roll, cut, stir, whisk, fill and create culinary masterpieces. This month we’ve made all sorts of cakes, biscuits, slices and sweet treats – here’s a picture of E rolling her pastry for jam tarts which may I say were mighty tasty!
And Lastly
Although I still have a never-ending list of jobs and chores to do around the house, this month I managed to gut both J & E’s wardrobes, bagging up all of their clothes which no longer fit and sending them onto family and friends to be reused. I also emptied my own wardrobe, bagging up all the shoes and stuff that I no longer wear for the local charity shop. It felt really good to clear the cupboards and to make some space though give it time and it’ll all need doing again!
I also ordered brand new, wooden, ribboned blinds for the bathrooms which Paul has since fitted. They look really classy and I feel far happier now that I have a little more privacy.
Paul meanwhile has been working upon the garden, he’s removed the hunk of junk which was our rotting, old greenhouse and is about to make a start upon painting the fencing and the shed in some shade of grey. We are yet to order garden furniture but with the dog still being a puppy she tends to chew anything in her path so I don’t really fancy forking out £400 for something which will only get eaten… It was really nice though to sit out in the garden without the greenhouse spoiling the view.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this months #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
