It’s most definitely been a busy month what with winding down for the summer holidays, various but seemingly endless appointments, and our recent (but temporary) house move whilst our kitchen re-fit gets underway. I feel like all I’ve done for the past month is to sign and fill out forms, make calls, write lists (and even more lists) and pack boxes. It’ll be worth it in the long run I’m sure but boy am I in need of some rest and relaxation. Here are a few of my #LittleLoves amidst the chaos which has been July.
Read
Other than kitchen, flooring and furnishing catalogues I can’t really claim to have read all that much over the past four weeks.
Watched
Talk about boxset binging, I seem to have been Netflix nuts for the past month as I’ve managed to work my way through the entirety of the smash hit ‘Sex/ Life‘ (which I thoroughly enjoyed and much recommend) and the most recent (and last ever) series of A Typical.
Other than boxsets I’ve not watched a great deal unless you count the recent Olympic highlights, that or glimpses of The Masked Singer which my darling daughter has recently become rather obsessed by, though I can completely understand as to why as some of the costumes and outfits are just unreal!
Heard
Given that I’ve been busy busy busy, music hasn’t really been on my agenda this month. However, when I have had the chance to listen to something it seems to have been Ed Sheeran, I especially like his most recent release ‘Bad Habits‘.
Made
I’ve baked countless cakes, bakes, and biscuits throughout the month most of which has lasted less than a day. Alongside my culinary creations, I’ve been kept busy building and piecing together various furnishings at my Mums house in order to complete her repairs and refurbishment following her houses being flooded out earlier this year. Things seem to be coming together at last and whilst I’ve love to tell share what a relief this feels to be, as one project has come to a close, our projects have just begun… talk about a chaotic year!
Wore
I can’t say I’ve worn a great amount over the past month given that the UK’s been basking in a summer heatwave. July has been sweltering thus clothing-wise it’s been all about skirts, dresses, swimwear, sarongs, and flip-flops.
And Lastly
The summer holidays have finally arrived and whilst most people seem to be enjoying their time holidaying around the UK, we, on the other hand, have spent the past two weeks running around like blue back-sided flies emptying cupboards, packing boxes, packing bags, and moving our worldly goods in preparation for a complete rip out and refit of our kitchen. Though I’m rather enjoying staying with my Mum, our kitchen refit has been such a long time coming and I’m rather excited about seeing the finished result in however many weeks.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
