After almost an entire month of dank and dismal wet weather, we conclude July with a stunning but scorching sunshine day. Here are a few of my #LittleLoves from the past month.
Read
Other than the news, I’ve not read an awful lot during the past month. I have however been dipping in and out of my copy of ‘Seventy Eight Degrees of Wisdom‘ and I fully intend to fall back into my fiction over the next couple of weeks.
Watched
Having sucked various streaming services dry, Paul and I have since started watching ‘Call The Midwife‘. It’s not a program that I would have considered watching up until now, however, my Dad seemed to be enjoying watching this show and whilst I’ve been back and forth looking after him, I too have joined him in watching a few episodes and now I’m hooked!
Heard
Given that we have an Alexa in almost every room within our household, as you can imagine, I listen to a fair amount of Music. Though she’s not usually to my taste, I have spent the past week or two listening to Ariana Grande as her Music seems to offer a cheeky but cheerful tone which seems to suit my liking at present.
Made
As you may have seen or read whilst browsing my blog, I’ve recently reviewed a number of tarot decks, all of which I’ve spent time creating bespoke pouches for. Though I’m not the best seamstress, I quite enjoy sewing and I’m pretty pleased with the results.
Wore
Until today, the weather has been pretty drab and dismal thus I’ve spent the majority of my time wearing jeans, long-sleeved tops, and cardigans to keep me cozy. However, as of today (and I bet it’s only for today), the sun is now shining and I’m finally able to don a summer dress and flip-flops, not only am I in summer attire but I’ve also managed to have what I think may well be my first hair cut of 2020!
After clearing and sorting through our wardrobes, I put together a number of bags filled with clothing for friends with younger children and have put some bits and bobs aside for charity from my own wardrobe. Having made space, I have since spent some pennies and am currently in the process of refilling our wardrobes with various new items, which I will no doubt be wearing over the next month or so. It’s been ages since I’ve had new clothes and it’s a real treat!
And Lastly
July brought the end of term and the end of an era for our kids, J has now finished primary school and come September will be moving onto senior school, whereas E has finished her time in the infants and as of autumn will be a junior! It’s all change…
I hope that you and your loved ones are all happy, healthy, and are staying safe. Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
