Is it just me or does January drag on for what feels like forever? January has never been one of my favoured months, especially not this year as our household seems to have spent the majority of the month suffering and recovering from various ailments. Thankfully, we are now on the mend and I’m hoping that February will bring us all a fresh start.
Despite the dismal and rather dreary outlook, here are a few of my #LittleLoves from the past month.
Read
Rather than actually reading just one book, I’ve spent the past month flicking through various books including Lucy Beaumont’s ‘Drinking Custard‘ which I’ve been wading through since just before Christmas This month I also began reading ‘The Oracle Creator’, a recent release from Steven Bright which was sent to me by Liminal 11 for review purposes but has already become a firm favourite, though I doubt I’ll ever actually make my own divination deck as I just don’t have the time nor that level of talent.
Heard
Though I’ve listened to Music whilst driving to and from work, I haven’t really spent time actively pursuing particular artists or tracks this month. My daughter, on the other hand, has become rather taken with Disney’s ‘Encanto’ thus we’ve had ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ along with numerous other soundtracks from the movie wafting from various Alexa devices within our household. How? just how has that track got to number one in the charts I’ll never know but E was elated so I can’t really complain.
Watched
There’s nothing better than snuggling on the sofa during the wet and windy winter months, especially so when you’ve got a brand new sixty-five-inch television to enjoy watching. I’ve spent the majority of this month binge-watching a number of Netflix series including season three of After Life and Sexify, alongside other TV shows including Worzel Gummidge, the latest series of Call The Midwife and, HBO’s sequel to Sex And The City, And Just Like That.
Made
I just haven’t been well enough nor had the energy to bake or to make much of anything this month, though I did give my new Kitchen Aid a whirl whilst throwing together a batch of cherry and raisin muffins which didn’t last too long before being guzzled.
Wore
I’ve spent most of January switching from stretchy jeans and woolly winter wear to my comfy pyjamas and fluffy bed socks – it’s just too cold to consider anything else! I have however treated myself to two more sets of brand new pyjamas from Avon, all of which have now arrived and are, as expected, super comfortable.
And Lastly
We’ve been looking at replacing the living room television for quite some time now thus bit the bullet and bought ourselves a brand new Samsung TV in the sales following Christmas. I was half expecting to have to rejig and possibly replace some of the living room furniture to accommodate the beast as it’s somewhat larger than I had first imagined. However, my husband came to the rescue and fitted a TV wall bracket which has freed up the furniture thus saving us a few pennies.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
