I made a promise to myself to partake in some new linkies this year and whilst #LittleLoves isn’t entirely a new linky, it has certainly changed since I last wrote a post for this series. Firstly, the linky was originally scheduled each week, whereas now it is published on a monthly basis (upon the final Friday of each month). Secondly, the linky is now based on an entirely new blog as it has been handed from Morgana over to ‘Mummy Hearts You’.
I’ve really rather missed the #LittleLoves linky and am therefore really looking forward to having it back in my life for 2019. So without further ado, here are my #LittleLoves for January 2019:
Read
It feels like forever since I’ve sat and read a really good book, I’ve finally had my Kindle on charge and have since downloaded and started reading Fearne Cotton’s ‘Happy’. Whilst this is a far stretch away from my usual ‘chick-lit’ choice, I’ve rather enjoyed reading through Fearne’s tips and tricks upon how to achieve happiness through a positive mind set.
Watched
With school starting for the spring term, we have now returned to our regular routine, this includes winding down the weekend with a movie. This week we enjoyed snuggling on the sofa whilst watching Christopher Robin, a heart-warming movie which moved both myself and our young man to tears at one point.Β
Heard
I finally bit the bullet and upgraded our Amazon Music subscription from Unlimited to the Unlimited Family Plan. As a result, we are each now able to listen to our own Music on multiple devices. J has been busy putting together his own playlists, meanwhile I have spent time listening to the Pop Princess – Rita Ora.
Wore
This month has been all about the boots. I spent weeks scouring the internet for the perfect pair of boots, upon arrival I was reminded never to judge a book by its cover, or in my case ‘a boot by its picture’. Said boots were sent back to the manufacturer and I then ordered a further two pairs of boots from an alternative supplier, both of which I have well and truly worn in over the past few weeks.
Made
I am far from a DIY diva, even flat packs have been known to out-wit me in the past. However, earlier this month following an Ikea blitz, Paul and I put together a range of furniture, some of which I managed to make myself! Until now I’ve never been allowed to tamper with the tools, especially those which require power,Β I cannot express how much fun I had!
And Lastly
January seems to have dragged on somewhat, I’m not sure whether it’s the dark nights, the cold weather or a combination of the two. Christmas may have come and gone, but I have continued to keep the sparkle alive by placing lanterns filled with LED lights around the house. I love how these look, they are so cheap to put together and I couldn’t care less whether it’s Christmas or not, the twinkly lights are here to stay!
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this monthsΒ #LittleLoves.Β If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leavingΒ a comment below, I would love to hear what yourΒ #LittleLovesΒ might be.

Hasnβt January been a long month! It feels like Christmas was ages ago! Iβve heard good things about Christopher Robin, I may have to watch it one weekend with the children. Love the boots, I like that they are different with the look of the inner lining. Thank you so much for linking up, looking forward to seeing more of your Little Loves through out the year xx
Thanks I look forward to joining in each month x
We LOVED Christopher Robin. We saw it as a family at the cinema when it first came out and then I watched it again with my teenage stepdaughter (who loves all things Winnie-the-Pooh) on DVD on Christmas Eve. Such a sweet film. And yes to twinkle lights – they certainly brighten up the dark evenings don’t they?
It was such a thoughtful film x
I’m yet to see Christopher Robin, definitely one I want to watch though. I love the fairy lights – I’ve ben trying to work out how to get some into my home decor actually – particularly in the front room. Hope February is good to you!
I have twigs with lights on in my front room x
