It is officially Christmas Eve Eve and I have to say I completely pooped! Paul and I have worked our socks off putting together J’s new room so that he can move in before Christmas.
Despite his new room still having our old purple carpet until January when it will be transformed to a blue room J is over the moon with the result. I on the other hand am totally and utterly exhausted. Thank god I have a few days off to recover and of course to enjoy Christmas!
I have actually managed to get a few things done over the past week and I will of course share some of my #littleloves from the past seven days with you.
Read
I have recently got back into reading thanks to finding my Kindle during the room move. I decided to delve into a book I bought a few years ago but never got around to reading. Cecelia Ahern is one of my favourite authors and her book ‘One Hundred Names’ is my current read which I have to say is so far, so good!
Cecelia has a real knack for writing something a little different, she is able to create a story which is not only captivating but also rather magical. This is yet another example of Cecelia’s fabulous work.
Watched
Like most parents, I have also had to endure several rounds of this years CBeebies panto, I actually rather enjoyed watching The Nutcracker although wasn’t too sure about watching Mr Bloom play a child’s part. It was great to see CBeebies doing what they do best, the kids were also fairly impressed as they insisted we watch it over many, many times!
Heard
Whilst pulling pints the other night I was graced by a team of carol singers, they certainly set the mood and brought a tear to my eye with their fantastic harmonising and traditional touch.
Made
Tis the season to put on a tonne of weight, it is therefore totally acceptable to be making yet another batch of mince pies. E and J kindly helped me to create our latest treats in preparation for the big man’s visit.
Wore
I am a great lover of ‘being a tit’, we only live once so why not? I have been sporting these rather glitzy Christmas balls, by which I mean Christmas pudding diddly boppers. I have worn these beauties for almost every shift behind the bar this week and I feel no shame.
And Lastly
As I mentioned we have been working hard to move J into his new room before Christmas. As a result we are both completely exhausted but also rather pleased with the result. J is so happy with his new bedroom that he has barely left it! I will do a post upon this shortly and include photos and such like.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing your #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
