Welcome to this weeks edition of #LittleLoves, I’m sorry it’s a bit late in the day but we’ve had a well-deserved night off from the little ones which we have thoroughly enjoyed.
It’s Valentines Weekend and we have a whole load of things planned to celebrate the occasion especially given that come Valentines Eve (Monday) Paul and I will have been together for twelve years! Crikey…that’s almost a life sentence!
I have a few things up my sleeve lined up for both Paul and the kids to celebrate and will share these over the next few days.
Anyhow, less of the ‘Valentines’ stuff as I’ll get onto that in another post, here are this weeks #LittleLoves.
Read
Following sorting endless boxes of Lego into colour assorted drawers I have spent quite a lengthy amount of time with J reading and carefully following Lego construction manuals.
Together we have built numerous Lego sets which are now proudly displayed on his new Lego shelves. I have actually rebuilt most of these following accidentally destroying most of his hard work whilst cleaning said shelves… Ooops!
Watched
Every now and then my parents have the kids overnight on a Friday so that Paul and I can have some well-deserved down time. With it being ‘Valentines Weekend’ we decided to make the most of the night by having a trip out to the cinema to see the newly released ‘50 Shades Darker‘.
I have to say I was hugely impressed with Paul for taking me as I went to see the previous film with my Mum, as you can imagine given the nature of ’50 Shades’ it made for rather awkward watching!
Thankfully Paul seemed to enjoy the film as there more than ‘just sex’ to the storyline. For anyone that read the books or fancies a bit of smut I’d certainly recommend this film although you may prefer to wait until it’s released on DVD to watch it from the comfort of your couch.
Heard
I must be regressing as I’m finding myself rocking out to more and more ‘old school’ tunes these days. American Head Charge is currently on play in the car whilst my phones recent playlist features the likes of Marilyn Manson, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and DMX.
Speaking of old school, whilst I was at work this week one of the youngsters decided to grace me with his playlist which featured Faithless-Insomnia. Talk about a blast from the past! Jeez…Â it took me right back to when I was young, care free and desperately trying to consume numerous After Shocks without showing the sheer disgust on my face.
Made
Other than the usual cupcakes, flap jack and home based cooking I haven’t made anything particularly outstanding in the kitchen of recent.
As I previously mentioned, this week has mostly been about the Lego. We’ve put together that many Lego sets that I’m beginning to see the World in square vision. Don’t get me wrong its great fun but so sodding time-consuming and fiddly!
Wore
I was asked to attend an interview earlier in the week and realised last-minute that I needed a new pair of black boots to complete the outfit. Paul bought me some really comfortable tan leather Rocket Dog boots for Christmas and as I love them so dearly I decided why not buy another pair in black which is precisely what I did.
The interview didn’t go exactly to plan, I was offered the job but sadly the job simply didn’t suit my requirements in terms of hours, travel and family commitments. However, it was an experience and I bagged a new pair of boots for next time.
And Lastly
I have had a pretty good week really, it’s been busy and fairly tiring but definitely productive in terms of getting things done.
One thing I seem to be making progress with is building brand awareness through blog reviews. Speaking of which, ‘The Lifestyle Blogger‘ recently sent me a beautiful ‘Paris themed’ cosmetic bag which I simply adore.
Back in 2006 Paul popped the question at the top of The Eiffel Tower, ever since anything of a Parisian nature ticks my boxes.
Rather than writing a huge post all about a makeup bag I thought I’d spare you the waffle and share it as part of my #LittleLoves.
The ‘Intrigue Parisian Cosmetic Bag’ is ideally sized for short trips to fit all your essential makeup items into. I will certainly be using it next time we have go away given that my suitcase needs to be halved in size and weight this year.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

Wow that is some old school music, I love catching some old tunes and the memories that come back! I love the boots-would love a pair of comfy flat boots so I could get out of my trainers and look a bit smarter. Have a great weekend x
I loved the first 50 Shades but still to get hubby to watch it so the chances of him taking me to see the second are basically non existent lol Will wait for it to come out on DVD. Loving your lego corner – my kids are the ones who take it all apart and lose pieces – i wish they would keep them made up and save them but alas we just end up with boxes of bits! #Littleloves
I too have boxes of bits lol
Love abit of Faithless, and yes takes me back to those carefree days too. Sorry the job didn’t work out but hurrah for new boots #littleloves x
We celebrated Valentines this weekend, I hate when it falls on a week day when it’s mad busy. Love those boots ! although you didn’t accept the job I hope it’s given you a confidence boost for future interviews.

I loved the books and first movie. I can’t wait to watch the second one. I’d be happy enough to watch it with my mum but it looks like I’m going with my sister and her boyfriend which should be interesting, haha #littleloves
