Welcome to my first #LittleLoves post for 2018, if you haven’t read my blog before now then I’ll quickly explain that #LittleLoves is a weekly linky hosted by Morgana over at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat reflecting upon six (or more) things which fall under set headings that you have loved throughout the week.
I have been taking part in this linky for almost two years now each and every Friday, it is something which I look forward to doing as it gives me chance to reflect upon my week in a positive light.
So without further ado, here is my first #LittleLoves post for the new year, here’s hoping that 2018 is filled with many #LittleLoves all of which I look forward to sharing with you.
Read
Back in the day I was very much into astrology and fortune-telling through a range of divination techniques. Over the years I stopped reading my horoscope and was no longer interested in finding out what the future had to hold, to be honest I didn’t really want to know…
This Christmas my husband very kindly bought me a twelve-month horoscope book which I have spent a little time reading throughout the past week looking into what the future may hold. You may say its all mumbo jumbo but in actual fact its been pretty accurate up until now.
Watched
Earlier this week we celebrated New Year by watching the twelve o’clock countdown and fireworks display live from London on the BBC. It’s something which we watch each and every year, the choreography of the fireworks and the Music which has been specifically mixed and put together to go alongside the amazing pyrotechnical display is something which has never failed to wow me.
Heard
My in-laws must have been handed a copy of my ‘Amazon wish list’ prior to Christmas as they certainly knew what to buy me in terms of Music. I’ve spent the past year or so listening to Sam Smith’s first album on and off usually when I’m trying to relax, his second album was something which I was hoping to receive and since Christmas have spent a great deal of time listening to in the car as I’ve driven to and from work.
Made
Having made a promise to myself to make a return to YouTube as a Vlogger I’ve spent the past few weeks using IMovie to put together a range of videos from the past year or so, all of which I am planning to upload over time. Other than videos of the children I have also made a start on creating actual Vlogs which I’ve quite enjoyed creating, editing and publishing. Here is my first Vlog for 2018, I’m sure there will be plenty more to come.
Wore
Somehow or other I managed to make it through Christmas without any injuries or ailments which was a first for me. However, days later I tripped over my sons Nerf gun and took a tumble down the stairs injuring my elbow quite severely.
At the time I wasn’t really sure how serious the damage was and whilst I took a day off work to recover I presumed it was mainly bruising. However, almost a week later I found myself in A&E having X-rays taken to be told that whilst there is no break in my bones (that they can see at present) there is a crack which needs tending to through rest by placing my arm in a sling.
To be honest I’m quite grateful for the sling as whilst it feels like it may be strangling me it certainly takes the weight off my arm and has reduced the pain slightly. I will soon replace said sling with a brace for further support and give it a few weeks I’m hoping that my arm will be back to normal.
And Lastly
I mentioned in my last #LittleLoves post that we had made a start on replacing our living room furniture with a new coffee table, nest of tables and matching sideboard. Since then I found yet more furniture to go alongside this collection and we travelled to Manchester to collect a tall boy and matching TV unit.
The furniture has transformed our living room and whilst I’m still in need of a rug to place under the coffee table it’s looking pretty swish if I do say so myself.
Happy New Year and thank you for taking to the time to read my blog, I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves.
If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
