So there we have it, another month has flown by in the blink of an eye and here we are rounding up the positive points from the past couple of weeks. I’ll be honest, finding the positives in the World that we live in at present is challenging but absolutely necessary otherwise I think I’d be overwhelmed. So without further waffling here are a few of my #LittleLoves from February.
Read
It probably won’t surprise you to hear that, like many at present, my current reading seems to consist of endless updates from the BBC News app. Whilst I’m half tempted to delete the app and to avoid the news entirely, unfortunately we cannot hide from the truth no matter how hard reality bites.
Watched
I’ve spent this month watching a number of shows on Netflix including Feel Good, an intense but refreshing sit-com that I found myself binge-watching over a couple of days. I’ve also enjoyed watching Eastenders as Grey finally heads towards his comeuppance. Meanwhile, series eleven of Call The Midwife concluded with a dramatic train crash that had both my husband and I on the edge of our seats.
Heard
Being a self-confessed thirty-something TikTok scroller, I come across a lot of new Music or mixes that I will often add to my various Amazon playlists, including the medley ‘Celebrate The Good Times’. This has quickly become a feel-good song that I will play whilst cleaning around the house, there’s just something about it!
Made
Whilst I would once spend hours crafting and baking with my children, it seems they have now reached the age where they prefer to bake and make independently, though tidying their mess following their creative activities still seems to be my responsibility for now… Though I’ve thrown together a sticky toffee pudding, some gingerbread, a couple of cakes and such-like, I’ve not made a great amount this month.
Wore
Though I’d love to be a size ten and feel confident wearing something other than floaty clothing, that sadly isn’t the case. However, I have found a number of cute, slightly punky (according to my colleagues) floaty tops that I completely and utterly adore and have been wearing throughout the month. I plan to add a couple more of these tops to my collection over the next month or two.
And Lastly
February saw the half-term holiday arrive and though the UK was hit by a series of storms we managed to get out and about with the kids, this included a windy trip to Blackpool where we spent the day splashing, swimming and having lots of family fun at the Sandcastle Waterpark.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
