February hasn’t been easy, it’s been one of the worst months of my life thus far. I won’t go into details but will tell you that despite things feeling incredibly dark at present, I am trying my very best to look for the light so without further ado, here are a few of my #LittleLoves from February 2020.
Read
Having really enjoyed reading ‘The Little Book of Hygge’ a few months back, I decided to treat myself to further books within the same series. I’ve since made a start on reading ‘The Little Book of Lykke‘ (pronounced Loo-Kah) and am yet to read ‘Lagom’ (The Swedish Art of Balanced Living).
Watched
With the weather having been so wild of late, it’s fair to say that we’ve watched a fair amount of television. Thankfully there’s been plenty to watch including the final series of Cold Feet, the 35th-anniversary episodes of Eastenders and we’ve also completed watching season one and two of Sex Education (a Netflix original).
Heard
I’m not sure whether it’s just our kids but J & E have spent the past month desperate to watch the latest Disney Zombies movie (Zombies 2 which was released last night) and prior to this they’ve been watching, listening and dancing along to all the songs from the first movie soundtrack.
Made
Paul and I have made a huge difference to our kitchen and dining room by giving it a repaint. I’m now planning to save some pennies by repainting the units and the tiles which will take time but be well worth the effort.
With it being Shrove Tuesday last week we also made a fair amount of pancakes in our newly painted kitchen!
Wore
It’s absolutely freezing out there at the moment, thus I’ve spent the past month wrapped in layers of warm, winter clothing. I’m not overly bothered by my appearance of late. I have had my hair cut which perhaps looks a little better but to be honest, I couldn’t care less about what I’m wearing or what I look like at present!
And Lastly
It has been a really tough time of late and it’s likely to continue to be so for some time. Things aren’t easy but my family seems to have a wonderful way of pulling me through.
Both J & E were each awarded with their school lighthouse award earlier this month, it was certainly well-deserved! J then had his science work praised and displayed whilst E was awarded as ‘star of the week’ in her gymnastics class.
J & E are the most incredible kids; they are so loving, caring, polite, honest, understanding and amazing children – I’m so proud of them both and really don’t know what I’d without them right now.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
