It’s been a funny old February as despite not doing an incredible amount, I’ve spent the past month feeling absolutely exhausted. I’m currently choka-block with cold and I’ve spent the past fortnight going back and forth to the hospital regarding a suspected fracture. I haven’t had the luckiest nor the healthiest month, yet looking on the positive side – here are myΒ #LittleLoves for February 2019.
Read
J was recently asked to read Louis Sachar’s ‘Holes’ as part of his school work, as instructed we have since read a few chapters of this book each week. However, we became so hooked with the story that we simplyΒ had to read ahead. With it being half term I’ve overlooked the usual ‘bed time routine’ a little and as a result we have now finished reading Holes and what an awesome read it was!
Watched
Having watched Cold Feet from series one onwards, I couldn’t wait to watch this years instalment. As always Cold Feet provided many giggles, tears and memorable moments which both Paul and I fully enjoyed. I only hope that they continue to work upon and to produce further series of Cold Feet in the future, it’s one of my favourite programs which I must buy on box set at some point.
Heard
I’m a sucker for Shazam- whenever I hear anything which tickles my taste buds, I’m sure to Shazam for results. Whilst watching my much-loved Aussie soaps, I overheard the song ‘Lost Without You’ and had to knowΒ whose voice was behind such an incredible song. Moments later, I was scrolling through Amazon Music to find further work fromΒ Freya Riding’s . I have since spent hours listening to her luscious voice.
Made
Having emptied our little ladies wardrobes and drawers from her current clothing, I have since made numerous purchases to update and to add to her collection of clothing. I cannot believe how quickly our little Princess is growing up, I wouldn’t mind but some of the clothes which I threw into charity bags were barely worn!
Wore
Having updated E’s wardrobe, I then updated my own with at least six pairs of new jeans. I was fed up of wearing the same old pair of jeans, that and having eaten a few too many tubs of Treeselets, I felt the need for a stretchier waistband!
And Lastly
February certainly seems to be the month focused upon those that I love; Paul and I celebrated fourteen years together, this was followed shortly by Valentines Day. Having being spoilt with cards, chocolates and roses, twenty-four hours later I was also buying roses which I left with my late Nana who would have celebrated her 100th birthday this month.Β It proved to be an interesting, enjoyable yet emotionally draining week.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this monthsΒ #LittleLoves.Β If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leavingΒ a comment below, I would love to hear what yourΒ #LittleLovesΒ might be.

Oh gosh I hope you start to feel better rom all the heath issues soon. I’ve not heard of Freya Ridings before – I’m so glad I looked her up after reading your post as she has SUCH a beautiful voice. My girls loved ‘Holes’ too when they had to read it at school. Hope March is a positive, sunshine filled month for you π
Thanks Chloe – I feel loads better thankfully
Sounds like a difficult month for you in many ways Rachel but there’s always something to be thankful for isn’t there? Love the sound of that children’s book and how fab to get your son engrossed in it too! Encouraging a love of reading in children isn’t an easy thing to do. I’ve not heard of Freya Ridings but off now to check her out – thank you for the recommendation π
Youβre welcome – I actually heard Freya on the radio today!
