I’m going to do my very best to make this weeks edition of #LittleLoves short and sweet as we are child free which is extremely rare and quite frankly I wish to make the very best of the time that we have without the whining. So here goes…
Read
Rather than reading books this week I’ve found myself learning lyrics. I love reading lyrics, much like poetry lyrics are littered with life’s ‘significant moments’ often fuelled by raw emotion which leaks from the songs as they are then shared.
Watched
I’m a great lover of comedy as you probably already know from reading past posts. Last night Paul and I sat and watched ‘Man Up’, a BBC based rom-com starring Simon Pegg. A typical ‘boy meets girl’ storyline coupled with hilarity made for excellent watching!
Heard
Having played Now 95 far too many times whilst on the journey to work I’ve found myself particularly fond of ‘Emilie Sande’s’ – Hurts. Whilst chatting about this track with a customer at work I was told how they compared the beat in this song to ‘cracking pasta’. Ever since I’ve been unable to hold back from visualising cracking lasagne sheets whilst listening to this song.
I love the track so much that I’ve taken it to the piano to learn myself along with a number of other Emilie Sande songs all of which seem easy to play but blumming hard to get your mouth around considering the speed at which she sings/ raps.
Made
Whilst tidying J’s room I found that many of his Lego models had ‘fallen apart’, I say fallen apart but I’m guessing that he purposefully destroyed them through either boredom or for the want of pieces to make random pirates ships from. Either way we’ve spent this week putting his Lego display back together which he assures me will stay that way but knowing my son I give a month and I’ll probably be swearing under my breath whilst rebuilding the very same sets.
Wore
I’ve had a bit of a thing for plaits and pigtails this week, I’m not sure whether it’s a fashion fad or quite simply a practical way in which to style my hair given that I hate it falling over my face. Either way, plaits and pigtails seem to have become my ‘go to’ style following dragging the GHDs through my mop each day.
And Lastly
Having woken to find my IPhone 6 Plus had died a death I eventually coughed up the cash for an upgrade. As of today I am now the proud owner of an IPhone 7 Plus which I have not only insured but have covered with a decent case and plan to look after a whole lot better than my previous phone which took a serious battering over the years.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
