The holidays have finally arrived and Easter is almost upon us. As you can imagine it’s been a busy week and will no doubt be a busy weekend with all the egg-hunts and activities which we have planned. Before that though, I will take a moment to sit and reflect by listing a few of my #LittleLoves from the past seven days.
Read
Other than the back of my eye lids I’ve done very little reading in all honesty. I keep meaning to find myself a book and get myself back into being a book-worm but I’ve still not found the time nor the patience to do so. Reading is something which I am hoping to work upon over the Easter holidays.
Heard
Having signed up for Music Unlimited a couple of months ago I’ve found myself able to access all kinds of Music without having to dig through the mounds of CD’s which are piled high in our cupboard. I’ve setup a number of playlists including my ‘Rock Chick Tunes’ which I’ve spent the past week listening to and enjoying.
It’s been a fair amount of time since I’ve listened to the likes of Ani Difranco, especially her live work such as ‘Living In A Clip’ as my CD sadly got scratched and has since been sat in our cupboard unused. This week however I found that I was finally able to listen to this rather fabulous album through streaming online and I’ve rather enjoyed getting familiar with old favourites such as ‘Wrong With Me’.
Watched
Other than my usual selection of soaps I’ve watched very little in terms of television. I have however replayed numerous videos recorded during various Tori Amos gigs which I’ve previously attended including this rather fabulous redemption of ‘Precious Things’ recorded in 2009 at The Manchester Apollo.
I just so happened to notice the back of my own head whilst watching this video, it felt rather strange to see myself from someone else’s point of view!
Made
Whilst at work I’ve been busy putting together a number of displays all of which I’ve rather enjoyed doing. At home however E and I have made a start upon Easter by baking some ‘chocolate nests’. Tomorrow we are hoping to bake a cake for Paul as come Monday he will be turning thirty-something, the presents are wrapped and the cards are written so we are all ready bar the cake.
Wore
Having purposefully purchased two pairs of boots for my interview last week, neither of which I managed to wear for my interview as they both arrived a little too late, I’ve since worn said boots throughout the week whilst catching up with family and friends.
And Lastly
The Easter holidays have finally arrived and already we’ve made the very best of our time together as a family. Last night we went over to my in-laws to catch up with Robbie and George as they were visiting from Derby, whilst there we enjoyed a take away and a catch up. Following that we’ve been busy putting together Easter egg hunts, shopping, baking and creating crafts.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
