And so here we are it’s New Year’s Eve and just like that, another year is almost over. Thanks to all of you that have followed and commented on my #LittleLoves posts throughout the past year, it’s been a joy to look back upon each month and to pick out the happier moments. So without further ado, here are a few of my #LittleLoves for the past month.
Read
Though I’ve promised myself endless times that I’ll read more throughout 2021, I’ve just not had the time nor the inclination as of yet. I have however read a number of books with my kids including the traditional Christmas books and stories that make their way down from the attic each and every December.
Watched
Alongside the regular Christmas movies (such as Home Alone, The Muppet Christmas Carol, The Polar Express and this years release of Robin Robin) we’ve enjoyed a number of films as a family including what has quickly become my newfound favourite – Ron’s Gone Wrong.
Heard
Obviously, we’ve been listening to Christmas songs throughout December and though I tend to stick to traditional oldies, E has become rather keen on Ed Sheeran & Elton John’s latest release – Merry Christmas thus we’ve had it playing throughout the house regularly of late.
Made
Following a positive covid test a couple of weeks back, E and I found ourselves having to isolate thus homeschool made a rather unwelcome return. Thankfully we were sent a number of festive, fun activities to carry out including a number of Christmas crafts.
E and I got busy making crackers, Christmas baubles, popcorn holders and Christmas cookies. This week we’ve spent time baking traditional mince pies and Squidgy Chocolate Log ready to be served come Christmas day.
Wore
Having acquired a Christmas dress earlier this year, I finally put my festive fashion into use for my workplaces Christmas Jumper Day. Ok, it wasn’t a jumper, it was a dress but I still looked the part.
And Lastly
Christmas probably wasn’t the best time to order brand new blinds for our entire house but having had my husband measure the windows, I couldn’t wait to click ‘buy’ and though I could have ordered one or two sets now and the others later, I just couldn’t wait to get another job done and dusted. Though my husband is still in the midst of fitting all nine sets of blinds (bless him!) the house already feels and looks far better for the update.
