This week has been literally none stop, my life at present feels manic and I don’t see it winding down well until after Christmas. If I’m not busy behind the bar then I’m either running around the house like a blue backsided fly wrapping presents, writing cards, sorting the laundry, tidying around after the kids and the husband and the dog for that matter or generally exhausting myself in some form of other.
I’m shattered and whilst it’s a rare Friday which we are ‘childless’ and fancy free I am lacking the energy or the get go to get my glad rags on for a night on the town. I’d much rather spend my time sofa surfing with the basset and a bottle of Baileys… you know how it is ladies!
Without any further waffle I will share a few of my #LittleLoves from the past seven days, as you can imagine with Christmas coming it’s been a bleeping busy week and for that matter I haven’t stuck to my usual ‘one thing per category’ as there’s far more than that to share!
Read
It isn’t Christmas without a copy of The Radio Times and a marker pen to circle all those programs you fully intend to record, watch and enjoy though somehow forget to add to your Sky planner … mental note I must download and make use of the Sky TV app!
Not only does the bumper Christmas edition of The Radio Times feature a fortnight of TV listings but it also includes an annual picture quiz featuring fifty shows/ programs from throughout the year which Paul and I never complete but we give it a good shot never the less.
Heard
Given that we are now on the countdown to Christmas ‘Magic Xmas’ has been blaring from the kitchen radio with gusto. Along with the radio I’ve also spent time listening to The Best Of The Eurythmics which may be ‘old school’ to some but in my eyes it hasn’t aged a day.
Watched
I had the pleasure of watching our lovely little ones take part in their School Christmas show not once but twice throughout the week. J was sporting a rather fancy, handmade dog head band with floppy ears and spots to boot whilst E wore an incredibly fluffy and ridiculously cute camel outfit.
The two of them said their lines clearly, confidently and with precision, they then sang and danced along to their class and whole school song putting in masses of effort which was noticed not only by myself but also by their teachers.
Made
Having rearranged and cleaned the kitchen cupboards last week I have since created an ‘art area’ for the children’s crafting goodies. E has since discovered a rather large bag of multicoloured tissue paper and we have made good use of this throughout the week decorating Christmas templates with PVA and tissue paper to create ‘Christmas themed stained glass windows’.
Wore
With just over a week to go before the big day I’ve finally got into the festive spirit and have made use of my Christmas clobber. I’ve rather enjoyed wearing my fluffy, nordic, pom-pom jumper dress, that teamed with my rather glitzy ‘Christmas Pudding’ headwear I’ve got Christmas in the bag!
And Lastly
I’ve quite literally been spoilt rotten in the past week or so and not by family or friends but by customers who have blown me away with their kind-hearted, thoughtful gifts that there was absolutely no need to get nor to give me but it sure did make my day.
Not only that but my Father was incredibly generous this week when he miraculously found a car part for our Fiesta putting us back on the road and returning us to being a ‘two car family’ which I cannot express how grateful I am for.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

I really need to get a copy of the Radio Times and find the time to sit down with a marker. I have no idea what’s on the TV over Christmas. Love the Christmas headband, my daughter would love that #littleloves x
Such fantastic news about the car! What a relief and so generous of your dad too.
Oh gosh, the Radio Times! That brings back memories. I used to love curling up and going through it with a marker pen, highlighting everything we had to watch. xx
