Here we are once again at yet another Friday, I seriously cannot work out where the time gets to these days. It’s not as if I’m working full-time but somehow having a part-time job, two kids and a household to take care of seems to be more than enough to keep me occupied. It certainly seems to make the time fly by that’s for sure!
So without waffling on as I tend to do far too often no doubt sending my readers running for the hills, I will get the point and list a few of my #LittleLoves from the past seven days.
I’m still in the midst of reading ‘The Life And Soul Of The Party’ as I mentioned in my previous #LittleLoves post. I have however found myself browsing a few blogs through the good old Bloglovin app and with Halloween well on the way people seem to be blogging the heck out of it, which by all means is great but I’m beginning to find myself feeling a little weary of witches and wizards and we’ve got over a week to go before Halloween actually happens.
I did however spot a rather snazzy set of bunting which Lucy from ‘Hello Beautiful Bear’ had kindly shared and I will be doing my damnedest to recreate with the kids over the half term. We’ve collected a fair amount of ribbon and rags through sewing and craft over the years, the remnants of which I hope to create something similar to this with.
I had the pleasure of watching my brother-in-law and his beautiful bride Hannah tie the knot last weekend. I’ve already shared dozens of pictures from the big day on social media, this here blog and have also printed a few shots to place in frames on the wall. Our children were kindly asked to be Flower Girl & Page Boy for the day, they looked amazing in their wedding apparel as did everybody for that matter.
Having spent far too many late nights fiddling around on my decks this week I’ve found a choon which has very quickly become a firm favourite. Tall Paul – ‘Rock Da House’ has made its way into most of my mixes throughout the week and although it may be an ‘oldy’ it’s definitely a classic and certainly worthy of getting down to on the dance floor!
Earlier this week E and I enjoyed a girls night doing what girls do best, baking! That wasn’t meant to sound sexist in any shape of form but us girls do love getting our hands dirty in the kitchen and after finding ourselves short of snacks we threw together some dark chocolate cupcakes to keep the troops ticking over.
As I’ve mentioned a fair few times throughout the past couple of blog posts, we spent last weekend at a family wedding which gave us all the chance to get our glad rags on for a change. I opted for an autumn themed leaves dress paired with a golden brown bolero top, chunky heels and a matching handbag for good measure.
Given that I spent the majority of the day behind the camera there are next to no photos of me from the day. The only pictures I have found seem to be rather unflattering and those which I don’t mind sharing only seem to show half of my body. You can at least get the idea of the design of the dress from the above picture, that and it’s quite a nice selfie shot of my hubby and I!
We’ve had an incredibly busy month or two with countless concerts, gigs, weddings, parties and no end of activities all of which we have thoroughly enjoyed but to honest we are all in much-need of a little rest. Rest is for the wicked though right? Give it an hour or two and Paul and I will be heading back out onto the M6 towards Manchester to watch London Grammar play live at The Apollo. I have been looking forward to this gig since early August when my parents surprised me with tickets as a birthday present, both Paul and I are huge fans of London Grammar and I cannot wait to see the stunning Hannah Reid sing live on stage later tonight!
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
