I literally feel as if I have not stopped this week, I cannot seem to catch a break. E hasn’t been at all well with what started as a cold and now seems to have developed into an ear infection. I’ve suffered with an infection following my recent tooth extraction and I’ve been so busy with house-work, work-work and looking after my little ones that my body has become run down.
As you may have gathered, I haven’t had a great deal of leisure time but I will share a few of those very brief moments that I somehow managed to park my backside and catch my breath.
Read
After reading that quite a few other bloggers had been enjoying reading ‘Blogging Your Way To Riches‘ I decided to order myself a copy. I haven’t had the chance to give this my full attention as of yet but from having speedily skim read through the book I can already tell that this is going to be hugely useful in the future.
Emma Bradley and Lynn James, two well-established and experienced bloggers have teamed up to write what could be deemed as ‘the bloggers bible’. From pitching to pricing and presentation to publishing, these two ladies have it all covered.
Watched
As E has been unwell for the past few days Peppa Pig has been on permanent play.
I’m not sure how many episodes there are in total but I would hazard a guess that I have probably watched each one of them at least four or fives times.
Heard
Other than the Peppa Pig theme tune, I haven’t really had the chance to listen to a great deal of Music. There has however been one thing that I have particularly enjoyed hearing this week, on the hour, every hour.
Our local clock tower has been out of action for many years now and was only recently restored and replaced with a new digital chime. Following the New Year the clock has been running like clock work chiming beautifully each hour. We are lucky enough to be able to hear the clock chiming from our house and I personally think it’s rather charming and also extremely useful!
Made
Other than fathing around and making changes to my Pinterest boards and pictures, I haven’t made much this week.
I will endeavour to get my craft on somehow or other in the next week or so. There is a certain romantic occasion coming up in the next few weeks which I am sure will require a fair bit of ‘crafty attention’ in the form of cards and crafts.
Wore
The temperature has dropped, it seems winter has made a return along with the many scarves, hats and pair of gloves. I don’t care how many people comment on my hat and my resemblance to Mickey Mouse whilst I rock the ‘school run’ cat walk, I much prefer to look like a pillock than to risk getting cold ears.
I am terrible for feeling the cold and having cold ears is one of my pet hates. I am one of those weirdos that sleeps whilst wearing socks, big fluffy ones I’ll have you know!
And Finally
As I’ve previously mentioned, we recently completed decorating our new office room. We had been using a dining room chair as a temporary desk chair, which as you can imagine as uncomfortable and didn’t really look the part.
Earlier this week I ordered a new office chair which has since arrived, has been put together and is currently providing me with a perch from which to write this here post. It certainly seems to suit the room, it feels fairly comfortable to sit upon and is a whole lot better than a wooden dining chair!

my new hair?
Commenting on behalf of myself and Morgana this week: I am with you on the hat, I love it. Bet to be warm on those chilly mornings. I will have to check that book out sounds like what I need. I always love the sound of church bells or town clocks it would be really useful too. Wish we could hear either of these where we live. Hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for linking up. #littleloves
