Friday’s here again, the first week of the new term has flown by in a flash. I can’t say that I’ve done a great deal in reality but as I do I’ll give it my best shot at finding a few #LittleLoves from the past seven days or so.
Read
I picked up my Kindle with the full intention of re-reading Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series last week but then seemed to lose track somehow.
I haven’t really read much of anything since unless you count reading lyrics to sing along to at the piano.
Watched
With the daily routine kicking in I’ve found very little time to watch anything other than the odd soap on the box. Unless you count cuddling up with E whilst she soaks up her daily dose of CBeebies I haven’t had a great deal of screen time.
It was lovely to watch on as my son spent time playing with his friend on Tuesday. Considering my history and school life, I’m relieved that J has been able to find and form such solid friendships, I hope that E finds the same when she starts school in September.
Heard
Having burnt a few CDs to keep me company whilst in the car, I’ve found myself falling for a particular track which seems to have stuck this week – Ellie Goulding – Still Falling For You.
Ellie Gouldings lyrics and haunting voice give me goosebumps, I will certainly be downloading the rest of Ellies Music to throw on full whack whilst I drive to and from work.
Made
I know it seems slightly unfair but as I’ve avoided contact with food somewhat over the past week or so I’ve found myself baking a little less. I will make a conscious effort to throw together a few goodies for the kids over the weekend.
Other than building block castles, Lego models and such like the only thing I seem to have made has been playlists. I’ve finally become accustomed to the old ITunes and you know what? It ain’t half bad once you get your head around Apples limitations.
Wore
I’ve made a few clothing purchases over the past week all of which have arrived and I adore. I flipping love BooHoo clothing they seem to have my style totally sussed and I’m a sucker for a bargain. I’ve bagged new tops, dresses, jumpers, pyjamas and even some new makeup all of which has given me a little boost.
One of my favourite items has to be this simple but beautiful dress which I picked up. It may look a little large now I’ve lost a bit of weight but it just feels great to wear and I’ve found myself practically living in it over the past few days.
And Lastly
They say it’s not what you know but it’s who you know and that’s certainly the case as I managed to bag myself two tickets to a Jason Manford gig which had been said to be sold out, that and a pair of tickets to see the majestically stunning Tori Amos!
Both gigs are taking place in October, it’s certainly going to be an eventful autumn that’s for sure! I will save my pennies and be sure to stock up on all the Tori merchandise going then spends weeks following reliving the event whilst thumbing through the program and hugging my beloved t-shirt. That’s right I’m a total freak but I don’t care in the slightest that woman speaks to me in ways which I cannot begin to explain.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

Love the dress. I need to get dress shopping for summer. We are back to routines here too minus bank holiday weekend now. But it left little room for reading and watching for us too as we were exhausted getting back into all our classes and school and sports activities. Looking forward to this weekend of chill. Happy bank holiday weekend #littleloves
Happy bank hols to you too
This week has flown by hasn’t it? Ellie Goulding has such a distinctive voice. Love this song. Have a wonderful weekend.. Popping over from #LittleLove
Thanks xx
Love that dress, I do like Boohoo – I’m hoping to drop a dress size before my next shopping spree, so no doubt I’ll be buying up half their stock again soon! Lovely to see your little ones forming great friendships isn’t it. My two make friends easily, but it’s hard when you’re an expat and you move around a lot, I feel so sorry for them at times. Hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks xxx hope the moving around ceases one day x
It’s great when you find a song that you can listen to over and over again. You can’t beat having it turned up loud in the car.
I love driving with loud music x
I love the dress. It seems to have been the week for shopping as i also found myself making some purchases for Olivia and i this week. Its great to have something to look forward to in the coming weeks, I’m sure you will have a great time at both gigs.
Thanks my love x
Well done on getting those tickets! We said we’d go to more gigs this year but we can’t seem to get ourselves in gear to book them and get babysitters. I must try harder! x
Good luck x
