Paul and I have just arrived back from a ‘child-free’ evening at the cinema, despite being surrounded by kids whilst we were there reminding me that we were missing our own little treasures I really enjoyed the time out being just the two of us. It’s not often that we get a night to ourselves but when we do we certainly make the most of it!
This week seems to have been ram jammed with random activities for both the children and ourselves, it may have been busy but at no point has it been boring! Here are a few of my #LittleLoves from the chaos which has been the past seven days.
Read
I’ve recently found myself feeling unsettled and unable to unwind of a night-time. Theres so much going on each day that my mind is still busy processing information right into the early hours. To try to combat what I guess must be a mild bout of insomnia I’ve started reading paper format books before bed even if it’s only a few chapters it seems to do the trick.
I never seem to find the time to read but now that I’ve actually forced myself to do so I am finding that I am able to actually complete some of the many books gathering on my bedside. This week I finally finished reading The Unmumsy Mums Diaries and Bridget Jones Baby The Diaries. This means only one thing it’s time to buy more books!
Watched
Since seeing it advertised well over three months ago I have been desperate to watch Disney’s latest release ‘Beauty and the Beast‘.
I can say whole heartedly that it was without doubt one of the best ‘animation adaptations’ that Disney have made as of yet. They couldn’t have chosen a better suited actress than Emma Watson to play the part of Beauty, it was simply perfect!
Heard
A few months back J announced that he was learning the trumpet at school. I wasn’t sure whether to laugh or to cry…
Being an ex Music teacher and pianist I have always wanted J to get into Music but no matter how hard I’ve tried to encourage him over to the baby grand which takes up the majority of our living room he’s never really shown much interest in tickling the ivories.
I am over the moon that he has finally taken to learning and playing a Musical instrument but ever so slightly saddened that it isn’t the Joanna.
After weeks of practicing with his brass teacher at School J and the children in his class performed on an unfamiliar stage to a large audience. He openly admitted that he was ever so slightly nervous but hell did he blow me away, they all did! It was an utter delight to watch and to listen to the children playing together as a team, giving it their all on the brass. Even a few bum notes didn’t stop me from welling up and shedding a tear or two.

E and I have once again been working hard to get through the endless amounts of products that we’ve been sent to review.
Crikey, when I think back to this time last year when my blog was barely born by which I am not suggesting that this blog is my baby, I never imagined that we would be offered nor given the opportunities which we have been over the past thirteen months, all of which I am hugely grateful for.
Anyhow, getting back on topic; we spent this afternoon using a certain crafting kit which you will soon be able to read all about to create our very own charm bracelets. E is so dexterous for her age and she loves working with crafts especially when it results in her being able to model her creations.
Wore
I really need to cut back on the carbs as I feel like I am living in leggings these days. I have decided to stop putting so much pressure on myself for the time being and throw some money at the issue by extending my wardrobe contents.
I am not the type to hit the high street, neither am I able to splurge mega amounts of money on myself right now. I therefore decided played it safe and stuck to good old Ebay where I found this bargain BooHoo Tunic top. You can’t beat a deal which delivers direct to the door!
And Lastly
J is coming on leaps and bounds this year, I cannot tell you how proud I am of the progress that he is making. He’s been attending karate or kick boxing as some call it lessons for a few years now but due to recent set backs hasn’t been giving it his all.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

I love the charm bracelet making kit. Your new top looks really nice, its great to treat yourself every now and again.
Thanks x
I haven’t seen beauty and the beast yet-must be one of the only people but haven’t had a chance with the kids being poorly! How exciting that you get to review stuff when your blog is still so young-it sounds like it’ll go from strength to strength well done x
That is such a cute little bracelet. I can’t wait to see Beauty and the Beast – I’m hoping hubby will come with me when he’s off next week! #littleloves
Hope your hubby has taken you to see the film by now x
We’re off to see Beauty and the Beast on Sunday and I cannot wait! I’ve heard (and read) only positive things about it, so I’m even more excited.
I’m finding reading before going to sleep really helps me switch off too, I really must make it more of a habit. x
So did you enjoy it then?
