At some point in the last four weeks or so I have misplaced my mind, I cannot seem to keep up with the day-to-day chores never mind blog posts. I keep meaning to sit down and to write but with the endless appointments, having the builders, looking after the kids and working four days a week somehow time runs away from me.
I feel like a week has passed me by in the blink of an eye and I am left dazed and confused by everything around me. Lets hope that given a little time things may improve!
So what have I actually done for the past seven days? To be honest I’m barely sure myself but here goes with this weeks edition of #LittleLoves.
Read
It was a particularly quiet bar shift on Thursday evening, I had cleaned almost everything that needed to be cleaned, had kept the customers and entertained and after poking around at the fire and almost setting light to the pub with my poor attempt to fan the flames I decided to give the book shelves a quick spruce up.
Whilst organising the books I came across a Danielle Steel novel with a rather battered cover and wondered whether it was well read, well-loved or simply neglected. I have a vague recollection that my babysitter Lauren was a fan of her books but other than that I’ve never read any Danielle Steel as of yet. Out of internet I read the opening paragraph and found myself instantly relating to the character, as she seemed to share a similar lifestyle to my own.
I continued to read a few more pages before putting the book down to continue with my work duties. I intended on taking the book home to continue reading but somehow forgot to put into my bag along with the supper that I had wrapped earlier. As I said at the beginning of this post, I seem to be particularly forgetful recently. I was so drawn in by those first few pages that I am going to charge up my Kindle and treat myself to my first Danielle Steel book.
Watched
It’s been almost four weeks since we have had a satellite dish attached the side of our house, due to the building work we have been making do with the ‘on demand’ facilities which also seemed to stop working last week.
After what feels like weeks of waiting my husband was finally able to put the satellite dish back onto the wall last night. I didn’t realise how much I would miss having Sky TV, the simplicity of being able to channel surf, record programs and to pause live TV is something I have certainly missed!
Heard
During a ‘builders baking session’ with my little lady, we heard the first Christmas advertisement on the radio so far this year. It made me realise just how close Christmas is and spurred me into doing a little online shopping.
Made
I have made three sets of bunting this week, one for an order and two for gifts. All three sets were in blue and following a rather lengthy sewing session I found that IÂ needed to order a whole heap of new material, I have since received some rather beautiful polka, gingham and plain polycottons all ready for future orders.
Wore
I am seriously hooked on ‘chunky knit’ sleeveless cardigans, they seem to be my new ‘autumn craze’. I managed to bag a bargain on’tinternet this week and adore my new grey chunky knit!
I also treated myself to some new hair accessories as I was fed up of having to ‘borrow’ my daughters bobbles and clips, Peppa Pig isn’t really ‘hip’ when your thirty-three…
I saw this silver and bronze slide online and fell in love with the autumnal shades. I thought it may suit my hair colouring and wasn’t wrong!
I love bags but I am sure as hell that they don’t love me. I have managed to break two bags within two months and moved into another new handbag this week. I wasn’t so keen on the lack of pockets when I first began using this bag but it has since grown on me as I love the shape and colours of this handbag.
And Lastly
Following my parents return from their holiday in Crete E and I popped over to visit and to have some lunch. During our visit my Dad told me that he had something for me. Last time he said this I was given some out of date cheese, very nice out of date cheese but still out of date!
As you can imagine I wasn’t entirely sure what my Dad was about to give me, but I was far from expecting him to give me his Canon DLSR ES0 D400 Camera. He explained that he had assumed it was broken and after buying a brand new rather large, rather luxurious camera to replace his original he came to realise that it was just a cable which was at fault. He could have saved himself hundreds of pounds if he had of known, he could have sent back his replacement camera but decided instead to keep both and pass this rather amazing piece of equipment onto his daughter.
I have always wanted a camera of such quality and have since spent hours just looking at it! I found a rather pink camera bag (The Eve Case) online and it seems to fit perfectly in there along with the charger, spare batteries, accessories and instruction manual which I must read and learn from! I want to make full use of my new tech, who knows given time I may even learn how to take a decent photograph.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing your #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

Lovely knitted cardigan, very stylish; and my, how chuffed you must be with your camera – what a lovely gift from you dad. And your bunting is simply gorgeous. Wishing you a lovely week ahead.
