Another week has whizzed by at warp speed and I’m once again sat at my desk with my MacBook at the ready to share a few of my #LittleLoves from the past seven days or so.
Read
I have said time and time again that I’ll pick up a book and wedge my hooter that’ll be by nose chaps firmly into its pages but I simply haven’t had the time nor inclination to read much of anything.
Unless reading bars of Music whilst learning to mix counts as ‘reading’ then I should really skip this section and move on…
Watched
Despite apparently being the UK’s most popular television program, Paul nor I have ever watched ‘The Great British Bake Off’ that was until earlier this month when we learnt that Noel Fielding would be joining the cast for the new series.
Since adding Noel Fielding into the mix and hopping from the BBC to Channel 4 ‘Bake Off’ has become part of our weekly regime. This week the bakers were faced with a Caramel challenge which was certainly entertaining to watch given that working with caramel is much like handling a loaded bomb as there’s very little time to work with the stuff before all hell breaks loose.
Heard
You’ve heard of Annie Mac right? Well get ready for ‘Rachel on her Mac’ for I now have my very own set of mixing decks which I am making regular use of whilst simultaneously driving my family to despair as I learn to beat mix, loop and add effects.Â
Theres something seriously addictive about mixing, it may just be two songs being mashed together but done correctly it can sound really effective and having learnt a few tips and tricks earlier this week I am finally starting to make progress with my mixing skills.
Made
I seem to have made countless lists throughout the week, things to do, things to pack, things to buy and things to generally remember. I haven’t exactly been on the ball recently and I’ve made a concerted effort to get back on said ball by making tick lists which I must start putting to use.
Wore
It’s weather for ducks but definitely not weather for me! I bleeding hate the rain especially when there are endless trips back and forth to School thanks to E’s half-day malarkey. Thankfully I’ve taken cover in my rather oversized duvet which some may refer to as a coat.
Said coat was meant to be thrown out and replaced by now but I’m yet to find something which is both waterproof and warm which I actually like.
And Lastly
E has now completed her first three weeks of half-day taster sessions at Primary School and as of Monday she will be a fully fledged ‘infant’ in the reception class. I will miss her dearly but sure as hell wont miss the endless tooing and froing from the School.
Having seen how tired our little lady has been following just half a day at School, I’m half expecting for her to return home in a zombie like fashion come next week. I think we may need to look into altering her bedtime a little and perhaps allowing her brother to stay up for an extra hour now that he is a little older. Whether this will go down well with E is another story but we can only suck it and see!
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

Love the Keep calm and write a list. I have lists going in like five different books. My head is full of things that I always need to write down or I will feel too overwhelmed. Even if I don’t come back to certain lists and check it off. Just helps keep my head clear. Love that coat too. Perfect for the school drop offs and pick ups. Hope you had a great weekend. #littleloves
Firstly, I’m so sorry for the lateness of my comment, it’s been a crazy week!
Oh the half day stage is so annoying isn’t it? I get why they do it, but all the toing and froing is a nightmare for us parents.
Looks like you’re having a blast with your decks! x
Thanks I sure am
