Welcome back to #LittleLoves, it’s been a week since we arrived back to reality and back home after our holiday in Benidorm. It feels like forever since we were relaxing on our sun beds in the Spanish sun with our lovely friends by the poolside.
Whilst it is still the ‘summer holidays’ it feels nothing like summer thanks to the rather dismal weather up here in Cumbria. The past seven days has been far from exciting in comparison to a super holiday the week prior to this, I am finding that the holiday blues has a lot to answer for!
You may find this weeks #LittleLoves hard to write simply because there isn’t all that much to report upon unless you count catching up on endless loads of washing as interesting.

As I had an interview this week I spent a lot of my time preparing for the occasion by researching ‘the star interview technique’. If you haven’t come across this already, it isn’t rocket science by all means but it certainly helps to take into consideration when discussing past experiences with future employers. This is the basics of the ‘star interview technique’ if you are interested (if not scroll on…)
Situation – Discuss the situation that you were in.
Task- What task did you need to do?
Action- What actions did you take?
Result- What was the result?
Watched
Whilst I was swigging from the all-inclusive bar and living the good life one of my favourite Vloggers Leanne finally tied the knot with her lovely fella Lee. I have been watching Leanne’s Vlogs for a fair few years now, she is a UK-based and Vlogs under the name of ‘Umbumgo‘. It has been a joy to watch Leanne’s videos as her family has grown throughout the years, watching her walk down the aisle and exchange vows with Lee seemed like the icing on the cake.
Heard
Following our fabulous holiday I couldn’t help but to download some of the tracks which were played by the poolside. I will admit that listening to the same twenty or so tracks on repeat for seven days solid did get a little bit tedious. However, when I hear the Music now it takes me straight back to Benidorm!
Made
I have just started two loads of bunting for friends and family. I have cut out all the letters and flags and am yet to iron, sew and complete my work, but it’s a start at least!
Wore
Having run out of blusher last week following a makeup bag catastrophe involving a smashed nail varnish bottle, I ordered some new blusher and to some bronzing balls to help ‘top up my tan’. I am usually fairly pale and pasty when it comes to my skin tone, the bronzing balls however seem to have made all the difference and I look almost healthy!
And Lastly
Whilst away I seemed to live in my sarong, it covered all my wobbly bits (well most of them) and saved me from sizzling in the sun. Sadly on the final day of the holiday I noticed my trusty, old sarong now had two rather large holes in it and would also need replacing like my purse, my makeup bag, my handbag and my watch which have all sadly come to the end of their life over the past fortnight or so.
I decided to save my pennies whilst abroad and wait until we were home to grab an ebay bargain, I did precisely that and now have the most beautiful pink sarong which I guess I will have to wait until next year to wear, hey ho!
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing your#LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your#LittleLoves might be.

Your holiday sounds fab and coming back is always hard especially when the weather is so rubbish here! I love how music can transport you back to a memory x
Music is a huge thing for me in terms of memories.
Eek! I hope you are pleased with your new make-up, how annoying!! We are off to Spain at the end of this week and I literally cannot wait. In fact, I am so excited that I can barely concentrate. Have a great week x x x
So pleased that you had a lovely holiday. I love going to Spain, my parents used to live out there so we used to go over quite a bit. Hope you’re having a good week this week and that the weather has been better xx
