Well, here we are at the end of the month already. April seemed to go by really quickly – isn’t it funny how the months seem to either drag on forever or they fly by without you realising? I swear, time seems to warp somehow when you’re an adult! On that note, here are some of my #LittleLoves from what has felt like a super-short April.
Read
Whilst I continue to promise myself that I’ll pick up a book or at least load my Kindle app and enjoy some rest and relaxation with a fictional text, I’ve done nothing of the sort. I have however spent many many hours scrolling through realms and realms of tips, information, and advice upon travelling to and visiting Florida whilst preparing for and booking our 2023 holiday.
Watched
Other than the latest episodes of Derry Girls and the latest series of Task Master, I’ve not had the time to watch an awful lot of television or films this month as we’ve been way too busy decorating the house and keeping the kids occupied, educated, and entertained.
I have however found myself glued to my TikTok app of late and I’m sure I’m not the only one who has lost at least an hour of their life to Johny Depp and Amber Heard’s recent court case.
Heard
I’ve listened to a lot of music this month as Paul, my Mum and I were busy decorating the living room and kept ourselves motivated with various seventies, eighties and nineties pub classics care of Alexa. However, as soon as my Mum would leave, Paul and I would switch to listening to DeadMau5 and I’ve taken quite a liking to ‘Sofi Needs A Ladder’ along with various other tracks.
Made
Though I’ve baked various goodies such as cheese straws, melting moments, and the odd batch of biscuits, I’ve not had the time to make all that much. I’ve been too busy with my sleeves rolled up painting and decorating the living room which is so almost finished now, we just need to add some new lights, change the sofa and order a new stairs/ landing carpet.
I finally managed to put my in-law’s Christmas gift to use and have printed twenty-odd photos out which I then placed into the frames that my husband and I then organised onto our living room wall in a collage fashion. The white frames really pop on the newly painted grey walls, it looks great!
Wore
Other than non-intentional paint-splattered jeans, I’ve not worn anything particularly different this month. My daughter has however been treated to a brand new wardrobe full of clothing which she has enjoyed wearing for the past few weeks.
And Lastly
No wonder April flew by, we’ve barely stopped for a second! We’ve had the Easter holidays with trips to the local zoo, hair cuts, dog walks, orthodontic appointments, easter-egg hunts, and decorating the living room. We’ve then been busy with the likes of work, school, dance workshops, and E’s first-ever residential trip, it’s quite literally been non-stop!
The highlight of this month for me, other than the Easter holidays when we spent time family time together, would have to be booking the holiday of a lifetime for 2023. I still can’t quite believe that we will be going to Florida and in my excitement, I’ve already started putting together an itinerary folder – it’s just so so exciting!
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
