Welcome to this weeks edition of #LittleLoves, the weekly post in which I list some of the many things that I have particularly loved over the past seven days.
Read
Whilst suffering from a rather bad bout of insomnia I flicked through my Kindle downloads and found ‘Light Is The New Black’. I could barely remember buying the book and so took a quick look to see what it was all about.
After reading a few chapters I soon realised that the book was ridiculously new-age and to be honest a bit ‘airy fairy’. It did however make me realise that whilst life may seriously suck at times I think I may finally have things pretty ‘soulfully sorted’.
Light Is The New Black wasn’t a book which I particularly enjoyed nor loved, I did however take great pleasure in realising that in terms of my mental health things are a whole lot better now that I have ditched the negatives and moved away from the ‘mood hoovers’ that I once dealt with on a daily basis.
Watched
One of my good friends Annabel recently started her very own blog over at www.cuppacollective.com, along with blogging she also began vlogging. Since subscribing to Annabel’s channel ‘Mumma UK Cuppa Collective‘ I have watched each and every one of her videos.
Heard
The Christmas CD’s seem to have made their way into the car already, this week I have found myself singing along to Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse’s renditions of Christmas carols whilst E has bopped along in the back.
Made
I have spent time creating a range of personalised Christmas cards for our nearest and dearest on www.cardfactory.co.uk . I was expecting the cards to cost me a fortune but was pleasantly surprised to find that each card cost only 99p! You know how I love a good bargain!
Wore
A few years back I was very kindly given a Pandora bracelet as one of my Christmas gifts from my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. I adore my bracelet and have almost filled it full of charms, it is quite heavy and after general ware and tear it sadly broke a few weeks ago.
I took said bracelet to the Pandora shop in hope that they may be able to fix it. After almost two weeks of waiting I have finally collected my beautiful, fully repaired Pandora bracelet which is now shinier than ever and back where it belongs on my wrist.
And Lastly
I have been massively stressed for the past fews months, I have refrained from documenting my issues as they were health related and we weren’t sure how things would work out.
To cut a long story short, a few weeks back I found a lump in my jaw, after visiting the GP I was referred to the Dentist for investigation. The GP first suspected that the lump was an abscess which would require dental treatment along with a course of antibiotics.
After having two X-rays at the dentist and one in the hospital no abscess was to be found and I was then referred back to the GP who later referred me to a facial specialist for a ‘polo scan’ (an MRI scan).
I then received my fast-tracked appointment to see the facial specialist which Paul and I attended yesterday. I was honestly expecting bad news and had desperately tried to distract myself from thinking about throughout the week thus the bouts of insomnia.
I can gladly share my rather wonderful news that what we thought was ‘a suspicious lump’ in my jawline is in fact a facial artery! I do however need both of my bottom wisdom teeth removed which is far better than what could have been.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing your #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
