I’ve barely written my blog this week, apologies and all but I haven’t really felt like doing much of anything other than convalescing on the couch. I have however managed to scrape together a few of my #LittleLoves from the past seven days to share with you so here goes…
Read
I’ve read a whole heaps of ‘Dear John’ letters over the past seven days but as you may have already guessed I’ve hardly ‘loved’ reading any of those!
Having finished reading Jill Mansell’s ‘To The Moon And Back’ earlier this week I began searching for further summer reads to add to my Kindle. I eventually selected and spent a few pennies on ‘You And Me Always’, yet another Jill Mansell book which as of yet I’ve only read the first few pages of but am already hooked upon.
Watched
Whilst flicking through Facebook I’ve come across a number of comedy clips featuring ‘LadBaby‘, a first time Father and Vlogger whom shares his side-splitting solutions to parenting problems. His recent Vlog ‘Baby proofing the house is half the fun’ had me in absolute stitches, it’s quite simply hilarious!
Heard
As always my bestie Dee and I met up for yet another ‘coffee in the kitchen’ where we spent four or five hours putting the World to rights whilst listening to some golden oldies on the radio. Phil Collins just so happened to pop onto the playlist and low and behold ‘A Groovy Kind Of Love’ has been etched into my brain ever since.
Made
This week seems to have been a ‘fixer upper’ in that I’ve spent most of my creative energy repairing items including re-stringing a wooden wind chime which blew to bits, sewing buttons onto clothing and re-threading the bathroom light cord with decorative beads following the switch cracking and breaking.
Wore
It’s not what I ‘wore’ this week, it’s more what I ‘didn’t wear’ this week which I’ve chosen to share. Having lost a little podge from my pins I braved going ‘bear legged’ in public for the first time in years and I have to say it felt pretty damn good.
And Lastly
I’ve really enjoyed getting out and about without the rigidity of routine being an issue. Paul and I have taken the kids swimming twice in the past week and the progress which E has made is quite frankly incredible.
By swapping E’s arms bands for a Konfidence swim vest we’ve found that our daughters confidence in the water has grown massively, she will happily jump in and out the pool without any worries whatsoever and it’s great to see.
Although E only just measured up to the 1 metre guidelines our little lady insisted upon going down the slide unaccompanied for the first time ever proving to us parents that as we suspected she has ‘no fear’.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

I love those kinds of catch up with friends, where one coffee turns into a whole lot of talking. I’ve had a few of those this week and it’s good for the soul. x
