May has certainly been the month for sunshine, we’ve spent the past few weeks literally baking in our back garden and I’ve enjoyed every moment of what I guess will be the British summer this year.
Along with the sunshine there’s been plenty of other thing to enjoy, I have listed a few of which in this months instalment of things which I have #LikedandLoved.
Yes To York
Earlier this month our beautiful boy, J went on a three-day residential to York with his class friends. Whilst I worried myself sick as to whether he’d eat, clean, sleep and generally get along I needn’t have stressed as he had a super time.
Our Beautiful Boy Turned Nine
J celebrated his ninth birthday in ‘Pokemon style’ – I for one cannot believe that our little lad is now in his final year of single figures! He was spoilt with gifts galore followed by a pool party with a few of his friends to celebrate.
Shoes, Shoes & Yet More Shoes
I finally bit the bullet and ordered myself a swanky shoe storage cupboard (which just so happens to match the recently purchased Dakota living room furniture) for my ever-growing collection of shoes.
Happy Mount Park
Whilst the weather was good we took a trip out to Happy Mount Park, thankfully the rain held off and the children were able to make the most of the swings, train rides, parks and the splash park before heading home for hot showers and Cocoa.
New Nails
Now that I’m no longer loading glass washers and scrubbing pots I decided to treat myself to some talons. I followed E’s strict instructions and opted for a multi-coloured unicorn glitter effect although I have since switched to rose gold.
Sunshine Days & Warmer Weather
We’ve spent the majority of May out in the garden making the most of the sunshine. We’ve had the most brilliant weather ideal for testing out J’s new super soaker which his Uncle Robbie, Auntie Hannah and cousin George very kindly sent him for his birthday.
Blackpool Baby
Paul and I took a trip out to Blackpool for the day where we shopped till we dropped quite literally given that it was over 28 degrees celsius and there wasn’t a breath of wind to cool us down.
Shopping Sprees
Whilst in Blackpool Paul and I emptied Primarks shelves, we now have a whole new wardrobe each filled with clothes ready for the summer!
The Party Princess
E met Rapunzel whilst at a friends party, she enjoyed herself so much that we have since made bookings ready for the summer when E will turn five years old.
BBQ Bedlam
We spent quality time with our close friends Vicky, Mike, Lisa, Paddy, Viv and Derick celebrating the summer with a good-old fashioned BBQ.
