Welcome to another week of #FessUpFriday
This weeks #FessUpFriday instalment comes from Angela from DaysInBed. Angela (33) lives in Lancashire with her husband John (42), her daughter Sylvia and their beloved bichon frise dogs Yoda and Casper. Angela was born in the UK but grew up in New Zealand.
Not long after her wedding in 2013 Angela was diagnosed with ‘Adrenal Insufficiency’ and following this ‘Human Growth Hormone Deficiency’ which have greatly impacted her health, Angela sadly suffers with Chronic Fatigue, Muscle Weakness and Brain Fog. Most days she finds it incredibly difficult to can’t to walk far without feeling sick and nauseous. Angela spends a large portion of each day in bed physically resting hence the name of her fantastic blog Days In Bed.
Angela is an avid Journal writer and writing Days In Bed
Back in 2010, when Sylvia was a baby and I was living in New Zealand I decided to go travelling. I created a Bucket List and flew to the UK.
Once we were in London, I booked a ticket on the Euro Star. Travelling with a baby can be tough but I had all our luggage in one big suitcase, one carrying one changing bag with bottles etc and clothes and a fold up pushchair.
After settling onto the Eurotrain Sylvia needed her nappy changing. I looked for the toilets with changing tables and they were a good six carriages away. We walked the distance. I changed Sylvia and went to the loo myself. I then proceeded to walk the six carriages back to our seat.
Just as I was about to sit down I realised that my skirt was tucked into my knickers and that everyone on the six carriages had been flashed. Now I knew why people were smiling and grinning.
I laugh about it now and think it is hilarious but at the time it was a little embarrassing but not as bad as other situations I’ve been in but I’ll be keeping those to my self.
I would like to thank Angela for sharing her story with my #FessUpFriday series, it certainly made me chuckle.
