Writing Gift Lists
As you may know by now, I love writing lists, especially gift lists. I keep a record of all the gifts that we send and receive for future gift inspiration and as a record to reflect upon.
I like to spend time carefully thinking about what to buy for people, writing my ideas down before the event and then selecting a gift to perfectly suit each person.
Leaving It Till Last Minute
Paul is the complete opposite to me, he is a ‘seat of his pants’ kinda guy and will happily leave Christmas shopping until Christmas Eve and then venture in the Christmas craziness like a hunter on the prowl. Somehow despite his ‘last minute’ shopping style Paul will always manage to get it just right knocking my socks off each and every year.
Making Things Easier
Now that we have two children and aren’t able to nip into town for a quick shop quite so easily Paul has slowly but surely joined me in ‘shopping online’ for gifts. We find that shopping online tends to save money, time and ultimately seems to make things that bit easier when it comes to Christmas. Anything that makes things easier when you’ve got kids is a winner!
Making My Own Christmas Wish List
Paul has started asking me to put together ‘Wish Lists’ to make his job even easier when it comes to shopping. I now keep an Amazon wish list and if I see something that I fancy I will add it to my wish list for future gift ideas.
So far keeping a wish list has worked really well as my wish list has provided inspiration for not just Paul but also my parents who have started referring to it for key events. I have several wish lists now for family, friends and myself so that I can keep track of gift ideas throughout the year.
Times have changed since Paul and I could go out on a whim and lavish each other with luxuries, it’s about the kids these days and by listing our ideas and sticking to a budget we are able to keep costs down and to focus on the things that we really would like.
My Christmas Wish List
I would like to make it absolutely clear that I do not expect to get everything or anything at all in fact from my wish list, it is simply there for inspirational purposes. However, with Christmas coming I thought that you might fancy having a peek at just what it is that I wish for and perhaps using some of the ideas for yourself or for others.
So without further ado, here are a few of the ideas that I have jotted down for Paul and my family this Christmas.
What is on your wish list this Christmas? I would love to hear from you whether it be through social media, email or via the blog.

Oh I love cards against humanity, especially when my best friends and I play! I don’t have a Christmas wish list, mainly because I don’t have any family other than the kids and my friends so it never feels right to write any kind of a list, I do occasionally buy myself a gift and I try to do secret santas so that I get surprises! #tuesdaytreasures
Mandy you need to give yourself a treat xxx

Your welcome Talya x
This sounds like a great idea to me. #TuesdayTreasures
Great list Rachel. The spotty toaster immediately jumped out at me. I don’t know what ‘Cards Against Humanity’ is, but it sounds good!I’m hopeless at knowing what I want – perhaps I have everything I need already?!? (More likely my tastes are too expensive and no-one can afford what I’d want!!) #TuesdayTreasures
Loving your wish list, we want to get our own cards against humanity it is always hilarious!
