With Christmas just around the corner I’ve spent the past few weeks on a super shopping spree in order to sort Santa’s sacks (pardon the pun). I started planning presents months back, plans may be one thing but purchases are another and I’m terrible for holding out for a bargain which is why I’ve left it until now to finalise my festive purchases for family and friends.
I’ve never been one for ‘last minute shopping’, I’ve always been organised especially when it comes to Christmas. This year however I’ve held out buying a few bits and pieces in the hope that Black Friday, Cyber Monday and all that malarkey may deliver a few deals. I am hoping to have completed the entirety of my seasonal spending within the fortnight and then I can finally get Christmas wrapped up.
Whilst planning my purchases for the kids this Christmas I put together a couple of lists, both of which I thought I would share with you should you need any ideas for your little ones this Christmas. E, our four-year old little lady is all about the pink, plastic and fantastic toys at present. She is very much into role play along with arts & crafts which made searching and seeking for stocking fillers fairly easy this year.
Heres a list of my top ten gifts for girls (suitable for little ladies aged 4-10 years) this Christmas. I hope you find this list useful and should you have any further suggestions or ideas then please do not hesitate to contact me via email or through one of the many social media platforms on which I reside.

Hatchimals Colleggtibles (Pack of 4)
Hatchimals were the ‘in thing’ last Christmas with stock selling out way before December leaving a lot of children wanting. This year however Hatchimals seem to have pulled their ‘seasonal socks’ up and have launched a wide range of products all of which have proved popular with children Worldwide.
Hatchimal Colleggtibles are the smaller (and much cheaper) version of the original Hatchimal hatching toys. There are over seventy adorable Hatchimals Colleggtibles to collect within season one including common, ultra-rare and limited edition Hatchimals.
With glittery wings each Hatchimal Colleggtible belongs to a specific family such as Giggle Grove, Lilac Lake, Polar Paradise or the limited edition Cloud Cove to name a few. Children can identify which family Hatchimal Colleggtibles belong to according to the spots and speckles featured on the egg. Simply hold the egg within your hand, rub the heart and once it changes from purple to pink the hatchimal is ready to hatch! Gently press the egg to crack its shell and discover the delights within.
Retailing at £9.99 for a pack of four (including a bonus character) or £4.99 for a pack of two, Hatchimal Collegtibles are available from a wide range of high street and online retailers including Amazon, Argos, Toys R Us, Smyths Toys and The Entertainer.

Chocolate Egg Surprise Maker Kit
I’m sure it’s not just me that has a daughter dazzled and delighted by those ‘Surprise Egg’ videos on Kids YouTube. When I first saw this ‘Chocolate Egg Surprise Maker Kit’ advertised on television I knew for sure my little lady would love to get her sticky mits upon this kit and moments later as she spotted the very same advertisement she screamed with delight at the idea of such a thing.
Using your own chocolate from home children can make their very own surprise eggs, included within this kit is a chocolate egg surprise maker, a dispenser, two egg molds, four capsules and six foils. Suitable for children six years and over this is the ideal gift for the entire family.
My only worry about this product is the fact that there are limited capsules and foils which no doubt come Christmas day will be used fairly quickly. Thankfully there are refill packs available to purchase for this reason.
Retailing from £19.99, the John Adams Chocolate Surprise Egg Maker Kit is available from a wide range of high street and online retailers including Amazon, Argos, Toys R Us, Smyths Toys and The Entertainer.

Shopkins 12 Pack (Series 8 Wave 3)

Num Noms Lip Gloss Truck
Throughout the years E has built a vast collection of Num Noms but up until now she hasn’t had anything other than the Nums and Noms themselves which to play with. This year she has asked for the ‘Num Noms Lip Gloss Truck’ to accompany her beloved Num Noms and I’ve added it to my parents purchases.
Having seen this truck in action I am certain E will enjoy hours of fun playing with this product. This Lip Gloss Truck Kit includes everything children require to make their very own lip glosses including one lip gloss base, two lip gloss flavours (cherry and vanilla), glitter sprinkles, one cupcake making tool, a cherry spatula, one special edition scented Num, three lip gloss sundae container Noms and a collectors menu.

Play Doh Kitchen Creations Magical Oven Set
It doesn’t seem to matter how old my children are they have always and will no doubt always enjoy playing with Play dough. Whilst I tend to make play dough by hand, every now and then I’ll splurge and spend a few pennies on the official product.
My daughter has had her eye on this ‘Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Magical Oven Set’ since September when the Smyths catalogue landed on the doormat.
The Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Magical Oven Set includes five pretend food attachments, three cutters, a roller, a knife, a fork, a spoon, a plate, six cans of play-doh, one creation card and a set of instructions.
Children can watch as their play-doh foods ‘bake’ in the electronic, magical oven. Once they have loaded their pretend food and play-doh they must then press the level and once the white light changes to red the oven will make a ‘ding’ sound as their bakes are baked!
Retailing from £19.99 upwards the Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Magical Oven Set is available from a wide range of high street and online retailers including Amazon, Argos, Toys R Us, Smyths Toys and The Entertainer.

Sylvanian Families Sky Ride Adventure Set & Sylvanian Families Chocolate Rabbit Family Set
Sylvanian Families have been a much-loved, family favourite since 1985 when they were first launched by the Japanese gaming company Epoch. I myself had quite a few Sylvanian characters which I kept in a hand-made wooden dolls house which was crafted by my Great Uncle Wilf. Sadly I have no memory of meeting Wilf but I most certainly remember the wooden dolls house which he so kindly gifted me. As a child I collected numerous furnishings and features to go alongside my Sylvanian figures and whilst staying and playing at my folks house my own children also make use of these classic characters and accessories although sadly the doll’s house is no longer and has been replaced with a modern counterpart.
Sylvanians are still a popular toy which my daughter has been keen to collect since spotting her cousins playing with their Sylvanian toys earlier this year. The Sylvanian Families Sky Ride Adventure Set can seat up to two adults and one baby (figures are not included). This is a well-made, sturdy toy which has been crafted with fine attention to detail.
Perfect for pairing with the ‘Starry Point Lighthouse’ (which I hope to purchase in the near future to go alongside this set) this beautiful balloon is perfect for stimulating imaginative role-play within children.
Suitable for children aged three-years and over, this set includes one sky ride/ balloon, one picnic blanket, a dish, a bunch of bananas, an apple, a blue bird, a story book and a trunk in which to store said items.
The Sylvanian Families Sky Ride Adventure Set retails from £19.99 and is available from a wide range of high street and online retailers including Amazon, Argos, Toys R Us, Smyths Toys and The Entertainer.
As you may have read above this set does not come with figures/ characters. There are a wide range of Sylvanian Families figures and characters available to purchase including the ‘Chocolate Rabbit Family’, a four piece posable figure set including Father, Mother, brother and sister all dressed in removable clothing.
The Sylvanian Chocolate Rabbit Family set is available for £14.99 from a wide range of high street and online retailers including Amazon, Argos, Toys R Us, Smyths Toys and The Entertainer.
As you may have read in my past posts our daughter is barmy about bunnies. I therefore opted for a ‘rabbit family’ as her first Sylvanian characters which I am sure she will love and we will no doubt collect many of over the coming years.
