It’s so unlike me to be away from the blog for so long, I cannot express how busy I have been over the past week, I simply haven’t had the time to do anything other than work, chores and to take care of the kids. Other than a thirty-minute window in which I chose to chill out with some tunes whilst mixing at my decks, I’ve literally not stopped.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving life at present and am very much enjoying my new role and the challenges which it presents, but due to the fact that my time is limited blogging has taken a back seat for the time being.
I would love to be able to sit and write freely each evening but now that the kids and I for that matter are busy at School, the time that we’ve got home, unpacked, completed Homework’s, cleaned shoes, organised ourselves for the morning, had tea, had supper, had baths and settled down for the night there’s very little time for anything else.
Give it a few weeks and I’m hoping that I’ll settle into more of a routine, this week has been exceptionally busy as I took part in two twilight sessions alongside daily and evening work. As you can imagine I am pretty exhausted and whilst I’d love to find the space and time in which to kick back and to celebrate Mothers Day this weekend, as usual I will be busy behind the bar pulling pints. I feel as if I’m juggling a million plates whilst precariously balanced upon dodgy roller skates, there is certainly no rest for the wicked that’s for sure!
You know that age-old phrase ‘It’ll be worth it in the end’? Well, I continue to tell myself this each and everyday, whether I’m right is yet to be discovered as who knows what the future holds.
