E has an incredible imagination and has recently started to insist that she is a particular character, she usually tells us that she is Princess Anna which I can completely understand as they share a similar hair colour and I tend to style it in a similar fashion for her. This leaves myself as Elsa, J as Olaf, Paul as Christoph and the poor dog as Sven.
This week E has chosen an alternative character and now believes that she is Tinkerbell, I have let her imagination fly with this idea whilst trying to remind her that the ability to fly is fictional as I don’t want a repeat of the stairs incident. This morning Paul decided to dress her in a Tinkerbell outfit, I then styled her hair as such and our little lady was over the moon waving her wand sprinkling fairy dust whilst informing Paul that he would be Peter Pan for the day.
Here is our little Princess or should I say Fairy dressed up for the day.
Is it normal for a child to become adamant that they are an alternative character? Is it taking ‘dress up’ one stage too far? I’m not sure but if it makes our little lady smile then I will go with it for now.
Happy Sunday Peeps x

Your daughter looks #toocute ! My son is a huge Peter Pan fan and watches the DVD a least a couple of times a week. Lovely photo 🙂
Thanks Reah
Ah she looks great as Tinkerbell. My daughter loves to dress up too, she has all of the princess dresses but Elsa is her favourite. #MySundayPhoto
