#MySundayPhoto – Loving The Lakes

Firstly may I begin this weeks #MySundayPhoto post by wishing Mothers UK wide a very Happy Mothers Day!

I woke earlyish this morning to a mahoosive card, and an array of flowers and chocolates from the kids. Following being spoilt rotten I dragged myself out of bed an hour earlier than usual thanks to the clocks changing and got myself ready for yet another day behind the bar.

Following what must have been one of the busiest Sunday shifts this year so far, I returned home to find the hubby had been busy in the kitchen making a fabulous Sunday Roast which we all enjoyed. He didn’t stop there though as he then donned the apron and got the kids involved in a bit of baking.

Having given the house a quick spruce up I collapsed onto the sofa to watch Coyote Ugly where I was handed a hot coffee and a slice of chocolate cake, the perfect way to end the day.

It’s now bath and of course bed time for the little ones, they are tuckered out after spending a full day making the most of the glorious weather playing outside in the garden and on the beach with their Daddy. I only wish I could have been there with them but someones got to serve the punters right?

In order to escape our hometown we are currently having to drive around a series of diversions thanks to the local road works moan, bitch, rant and grumble…

I mustn’t grumble though as if it weren’t for the road works I wouldn’t have been witness to the stunning scenery nor had the chance to snap a few pictures whilst on the road.

#MySundayPhoto - Loving The Lakes

One things for sure, there may be no job opportunities, transport links or a great deal of things to do where we live but we certainly have some of the most stunning views you will ever see.

The wide open spaces, the snow dusted mountain tops, the higgledy-piggledy dry stone walls, the scent of freshly cut grass, the sea of green, it’s simply beautiful and no matter where I may travel, this place will always be my home.

Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #MySundayPhoto pictures either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
