#MySundayPhoto – Beach Babes

The weathers been ever so slightly hit and miss recently, just as you think Spring has sprung the clouds loom ahead and we are thrown back into Winter. The weather is far from predictable ‘up north’ so we have to make the best of what we are given and get out when we can.

With the beach being right on our doorstep it tends to be where we end up most weekends come rain or shine. Thankfully the sun was certainly shining yesterday and as a result the kids got to have a good run on the beach with their beloved basset hound Molly.

I’m really looking forward to when Spring finally arrives and the ground becomes dry under foot. We will be able to head out to the woods, soak up the smell of pinewood as we walk whilst hunting for sticks to throw for the dog. Those are the walks which I savour, casually strolling through the woods surrounded by the safety of the trees.

I think we may have to write a little ‘bucket list’ at some point soon for the summer. There’s some many things that I want to do this year and now that E is a little older and less travel sick it’s getting much easier to have days out further afield. Until then, here’s a photo from this weekend of our beach babes enjoying their outing.

I’d love a better beach to hang out on!! Lovely photo 😀

  3. I love the idea of using the beach all year round, my husband only uses our local beach for walking the dog at this time of year , it has dry sugary sand, so it can be like entering a sand storm when it’s windy!

I’m so jealous, I would love to have a beach on our doorstep. I’m definitely going to plan a bucket list this year for Summer and actually tick some things off.

It can be lovely but oh in the winters with the cold winds…
