Little Chef Living Arrows

It’s Monday once again, Bank Holiday Monday to be precise. If I haven’t already explained ‘Living Arrows’ is a blog series/ linky focused on celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday I will be sharing two photographs from the past week to celebrate childhood and as part of Living Arrows.

We love baking in our household, E is such a little chef and loves to measure out the ingredients, stir the mix and of course, most of all she likes to lick the bowl when we’ve finished. This week we made a family favourite, chocolate fairy cupcakes. These particular pictures I felt warranted becoming part of the Living Arrows series.

There is something about these pictures of E baking which takes me back to my own childhood, not the baking as such but a book which I have fond memories of having being read to me by my own parents and tonight I will be reading this to my own two little monkeys.

Paddington Bear Minds The House is a classic, whilst is isn’t actually a part of my Living Arrows series in terms of a photo to share, here is a picture of the the cover and a link (click the image) should you fancy a slice of Paddington for yourself.

haha this is great – Boo always has to triple check that whatever cookies we are making taste ok – the chocolate always needs testing extra too!

Haha! Brilliant pictures – I love her chef’s hat! Toby loves baking too, I have to try really hard not to be too controlling though and just let him have a go… #LivingArrows
