Following a busy day at School there’s nothing quite like letting some steam off with a brisk walk down the beach. We are so lucky to live on the coast, the kids spend endless amounts of time running up and down the beach, collecting seashells, building sand castles, throwing pebbles and picking a few to paint once back at home. I on the other hand watch on as the kids have fun, sand between my toes, the sunshine upon my skin as the fresh air blows the cobwebs away. A simple stroll upon the sand can do wonders for the heart, soul and mind.
I often find myself glancing across the bay to the village from my own childhood, I remember walks upon the marsh picking mushrooms with my Mum whilst the dogs ran amuck in the gulleys, so much has changed since those days back then…
I wonder whether my children will ever walk upon the beach and look back upon their childhood. What memories may they hold? Will they look back upon the fun we’ve shared as a family with fondness? I only hope so.
Boy With A Bay View
With E starting School come September it wont be long before they share a pickup time. Our time together may become shorter but I’ll be damned sure to make the most of it, the beach no doubt being our first port of call before we head home.
Princess and her Pebbles
They are growing up so fast, no matter how many photos I take or videos I shoot I cannot hold onto time. Time is a funny old thing, we wish it away then we wish we had held onto those precious moments for a little while longer.
Thanks again for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Lovely photos. So lucky to be able to go to the beach after school #livingarrows
Lovely photos! We live close to the beach too, but I don’t think we’ve ever been after school, the children always seem so tired we just head home! I’m looking forward to the summer holidays though, and taking them to meet my husband after work for a quick trip to the beach then. x #LivingArrows
The time really is going so fast. We’ll be in such a similar situation in September x
