It’s super late and I should have written this post hours ago but I’ve been preoccupied with work and countless chores which I’ve spent my evening ploughing my way through, any longer on the laptop and I swear my eyes would have turned square!
Having spent the entire day with my nose to the grindstone I’m going to keep this post short, sweet and to the point. So without further ado here are a few of my #LittleLoves for the past seven days or so.
Read
As always I’ve had yet another busy week leaving me very little time to read anything of great length. I have however flicked through the odd article online and whilst doing so came across this beauty listing ten routines that will strengthen a parent-child relationship.
I was once a very uptight chick, I was forever stressed with this, that or the other and could never truly wind down and follow my inner voice. Don’t get me wrong I’m not hearing random voices well not as of yet but over the past few months I’ve found that I care far less about the worries of the World and as a result am more able to focus upon the things that actually matter, my family.
This article suggests ten terrific ways in which to build a bond and to develop a closer relationship with your children, whilst I already do much of what is within the article there were a few points which I found useful and will most certainly put into practice within this household to further improve family matters.
Heard
Having watched yet another episode of ‘The A Word‘ I found myself flicking through Spotify to find some sort of playlist for the program as the soundtracks are quite simply awesome. Since locating said playlist I have since downloaded a number of tracks including ‘The Fall – Victoria’ which I’ve been playing on and off throughout the week.
Watched
Poor E wasn’t too well earlier this week and as a result we spent the majority of the day curled up watching Disney movies including Toy Story 2 & 3.
It doesn’t matter how old this Pixar animation may be nor how amusing the dynamic duos names may be, this is a classic family film which I could watch time and time again.
Made
As I said above I’ve had a busy week ticking chores from my many ‘to do lists’. I finally finished my Christmas Gift Guides and have since published said posts, it’s amazing how flipping long these things can take to put together but I am sure they will be worth the effort.
Whilst I was feeling festive I also threw together a batch of Mince Pies which despite sticking to the baking tray and being a little over cooked tasted blinking lovely!
Wore
I’m far from flush when it comes to finances especially with Christmas just around the corner. However, I was in desperate need of some new socks and a pair of boots to keep my tutsies warm at work throughout the winter.
Whilst browsing online I managed to find some bargain boots which arrived earlier this week and seem super soft and snuggly, whether or not they will stand the test of time who knows but what more could you want for £15?
And Lastly
As I mentioned above poor E hasn’t been too well and due to her illness she has spent two days off from School resting at home. Although I’m keen for my kids to attend School I have to admit it was a rare treat to have my little lady at home, I’ve really missed her company since she started School back in September.
Here’s hoping that she starts feeling better soon as the poor mite has really been through the wars over the past few days, I’m sure with love, cuddles and Calpol she will be bounce back over the weekend.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

Thanks for sharing that article on connecting with your child, I’ve just read it and it is excellent and has reminded me of a few things to try to do. The soundtrack to the a word is brilliant isn’t it, that little boy has a brilliant taste in music. Hope your daughter has fully recovered now, a day cuddled up on a sofa watching some classic films sounds perfect.
Thanks so much she seems a bit better
Poor E! I hope she’s all better now. You can’t beat the Toy Story films, though can you? I think I might suggest watching them to my daughter x
Thanks Hun she’s getting there now x
