Welcome to this weeks #LivingArrows, a weekly post in which I share a photo of each of my little ones. It’s been a busy week with one thing and another when isn’t it a busy week? I haven’t had an awful lot of time to take photos, I did however manage to find these two shots to share with you. Whilst checking my J’s school Tumblr pictures I found this beauty. It seems that the kids have created a large canvas on which to pose for some ‘aerial’ shots. I love this picture, it reminds me of a similar image from Winnie The Pooh. It seems very apt that J should be floating away on balloons, he often has his head in the clouds! Sky High E has spent most of her time this week playing in her new ‘super duper pink’ bedroom. I have also spent most of my afternoons sat on her pink, glittery carpet playing the role of random characters from Peppa Pig. Here is a picture of us two girlies having a cuddle, E for some reason has decided to stick out her tongue which makes her look as if she has a fat lip, I can assure you… View Post
Welcome to my second #LivingArrows post of 2017, a Snapchat Special filled with fun and filters. As you will probably be aware I like to use social media, I am on almost every platform you can imagine and to add to this have recently joined the strange World of Snapchat. I am not entirely sure what I am doing with Snapchat just yet but give me time and as with most things, I will figure it out. I have however managed to find the hilarious photo filters and made some use of them. If you fancy adding me on Snapchat then my username is RachelSwirl, I will be keeping a ‘story’ and all that malarkey given time. For the meantime here is a photo that I shot of the kids a few weeks ago, it is one of my favourite Snapchat photos that I’ve taken so far. My Two Little Dears… Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
Welcome to the first #LivingArrows post for 2017. We blew away the cobwebs today by having a good old winter walk along the beach. I totally forgot to take my beautiful Canon camera along with us but managed with my trusty IPhone. E insisted that she wore her fluffy new ear muffs which her Auntie Sue and Uncle Tony very kindly gave to her for Christmas. J was also wrapped up all snug and warm in his ski hat which believe it or not was once worn by myself as a child on the slopes. It may have been bitterly cold but the kids didn’t seem to mind jumping in the water and running amuck on the shore. Here are a couple of shots I took of the kids (not shots at the kids may I add, despite having being sorely tempted each time they have pushed my buttons over the past few days). Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
Welcome to this weeks Christmas edition of #LivingArrows. The presents have been unwrapped and the kids no longer have any excuses for being bored at any point over the next nine full non-school, non-nursery and non-scheduled days which they have at home for the holidays. If I so much as hear a single sigh of what could possibly be boredom I have only to point to the mountain of presents which the kids received from family, friends, Santa and all his many elves to make my point noted. I have really enjoyed the past few days despite all the bedlam in the run up to the big day and beyond. I am now finally able to kick back, relax and eat like a pig until New Year when the diet begins. So without further ado, here are my last-minute #LivingArrows shots for this week… Playing With The Presents J finally got his much-wanted Swegway which he has been practicing riding indoors as the weather has been atrocious here up’North. Easy Rider As requested, E received a mountain of pink, fluffy, glittery and girly goods which she has since been playing with around the clock. This evening she spent time putting together her fairy… View Post
Welcome to this weeks edition of #LivingArrows brought to you directly from the ‘Christmas isolation unit’. Poor E is even more covered in spots today despite there being hardly any room left for said additional spots. I have spent the day huddled indoors suffering with four wall syndrome whilst attempting to keep my little chicken and her big brother entertained with random Christmas crafts and activities. My apologies but this weeks photos may be a little on the dull side for obvious reasons. We decorated the Christmas cake… And We Coloured Christmas Pictures. We also watched several Christmas movies, put together numerous Peppa Pig jigsaws, played a couple of board games including J’s current favourite, Labyrinth. It’s apparently not as good as the marble version which his Grandparents have but he thankfully made do with what we had. I suspect we may well be ‘under quarantine’ till mid-week at least. I have finally sourced some calamine lotion thanks to a very kind lady who saw my distress when searching the shelves in Tesco to find that they were all out. Following a ‘chickenpox’ chat I was informed that this her little girl had also suffered from a bout of chickenpox and they… View Post
Last week Paul and I spent our last night in what has been ‘our bedroom’ for the past four and half years. Project ‘Extension’ is now complete and we are now happily settled into our ‘new room’ which is far larger and luxurious than we ever expected. I thought I would use this weeks #LivingArrows post to share what is one of the last pictures of our bedroom before it became an empty vessel awaiting the transformation into a certain young mans bedroom. As always at bedtime, here are our two little ones sharing a snuggle before settling down to sleep in their own beds which will also move into new rooms in the near future. Goodbye Bedroom Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
