#LittleLoves – Maleficent, Magic And A Touch Of Pink

Welcome to another week of #LittleLoves, a post in which I share a few of the many things that I have particularly enjoyed or have taken a shine to throughout the past seven days. This week has been pretty hum-drum, we’ve not done anything particularly outstanding yet there has still been plenty to love. Read I haven’t done a great deal of reading other than the usual checking of emails. I have however received some rather lovely emails from a number of companies that have all asked me to carry out reviews on particular items on their behalf. I will be sharing some of these with you in the near future and am very much looking forward to getting back to reviewing random goodies throughout 2017. Watched Paul and I finally found some time to sit down and enjoy a movie together, it’s been bloody hectic with all the decorating, carpeting, furniture shifting and such like so it was really nice to finally sit down and to spend time together. We watched Disney’s ‘Maleficent‘, a dark, non-animated, twist upon the all-time classic ‘Sleeping Beauty’. I am a massive fan of Disney and love all of their films including this one. It had a certain gothic, arty charm which… View Post

#LittleLoves – Bridget, Babies, Brides, Boots and Blog On

Welcome to my first #LittleLoves post for 2017, it’s been an eventful week filled with lots to love so here goes… Read I began reading , ‘Bridget Jones Baby The Diaries‘, one of my many Christmas gifts from Paul. I have already read the previous three Bridget Jones novels from Helen Fielding all of which I greatly enjoyed. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from her latest release considering how far afield the film seemed to be from her previous book ‘Mad About The Boy‘. Firstly, Mark Darcy is back from the dead so it seems considering the storyline from ‘Mad About The Boy’ and he’s out to win Bridget all over again. Secondly, Bridget is now broody and as you can guess from the title she does indeed end up ‘with baby’. In a nutshell, this book covers the storyline from the recent film ‘Bridget Jones Baby‘ with a few added extras. I haven’t finished reading it all but I have got through a fair chunk of the book and am enjoying every page. Watched With it being New Year Eastenders had to up the ante, killing two of their long-running characters Ronnie and Roxy. As we all know, a wedding will never go… View Post

#LittleLoves – The Last Of 2016

Welcome to the last #LittleLoves post for 2016. It’s been a fantastic, festive, fun-filled week surrounded by family and friends. There is so much that I could write for this post that it is actually quite hard to narrow it down to my usual headings. Read It’s been that busy this week that I have read very little in terms of books. I am still wading my way through Cecelia Ahern’s ‘100 Names’ which I am greatly enjoying. I have also read quite a few blog posts mostly Christmas orientated from fellow bloggers but other than that I can’t say I have really delved into anything different. Watched Over Christmas we have watched a load of films most of which I have seen before but were well worth watching again simply as an excuse to sit down and share some time together as a family. As you may have read in my past posts I am a big lover of the Australian soap opera ‘Home And Away’ so much so that I tend to watch the latest episodes from ‘down under’ online. Following the end of season finale there has been two Home And Away special episodes released, one of which has already been… View Post

#LittleLoves – It’s Christmas Eve Eve!

It is officially Christmas Eve Eve and I have to say I completely pooped! Paul and I have worked our socks off putting together J’s new room so that he can move in before Christmas. Despite his new room still having our old purple carpet until January when it will be transformed to a blue room J is over the moon with the result. I on the other hand am totally and utterly exhausted. Thank god I have a few days off to recover and of course to enjoy Christmas! I have actually managed to get a few things done over the past week and I will of course share some of my #littleloves from the past seven days with you. Read I have recently got back into reading thanks to finding my Kindle during the room move. I decided to delve into a book I bought a few years ago but never got around to reading. Cecelia Ahern is one of my favourite authors and her book ‘One Hundred Names’ is my current read which I have to say is so far, so good! Cecelia has a real knack for writing something a little different, she is able to create a story which is… View Post

#LittleLoves – A Blast From The Past

It’s Friday yet again and of course time to list my #LittleLoves. It’s been yet another busy week for Paul and I, we have done so much that it’s all a bit of a blur really. The kids have finally finished both school and nursery for the Christmas holidays and we can finally start to wind down or should I say rev up for Christmas. Let’s hope now that we have some time together we can relax! Read I haven’t had time to read much of anything this week. After making endless applications to jobs over the past month or so I finally received an invite to an interview which will take place in January. I’m not sure what the pay, hours or even duties really entail but it’s still an exciting prospect to kick off the new year. Watched On Monday Paul and I had a blast from the past as we drove down to The Manchester Arena to watch both Limp Bizkit and Korn play live. It was an amazing night, I for one danced hard but later realised that I am no longer twenty-one as things began to ache a little. Heard Whilst listening to Limp Bizkits set in Manchester we were… View Post

#LittleLoves – Brain Fog & Bedroom Banter

It’s Friday again where the hell did this week go? It’s that time of the week when I share a few of my #LittleLoves from the past seven days with my lovely readers. There has been so much going on recently that sitting and reflecting upon it all is actually quite overwhelming! It’s amazing just how much you can get done in the space of a week but when you actually sit down and try to identify specifics you can barely recall what you ate for breakfast that morning never mind what you may have seen or heard. Despite suffering with ‘brain fog’ I’ll try to sift the gold from the silt and hopefully pull a few gems from the past seven days to share with you all. Read Each year Paul and I find ourselves squabbling over who gets first dibs at circling the programs we each want to record from the Christmas double edition of the Radio Times. It is the only time that we actually buy the TV listings in a printed format but it is a must! Not only did I bagsy first dibs on ‘marking the mag’ but I was also the first to tackle the annual ’50 radio shows and TV programs from the… View Post
